It certainly looks different and interesting to note that Hungary's top motorcycle journalist is impressed by this machine. A fair amount of engineering went into the front end, will be interesting to see what future it has and well done to Yamaha for pushing the boundary. You didn't mention the price but as you say, we need to try it before jumping to any conclusion on whether it is leading edge or bleeding edge, sometimes these are very close together. Thanks Onroad.bike.
The Hungarian price is very close ti a nearly fully equipped BMW F850GS (without boxes - just as an example). So I think not horroristic. Of course not cheap as well, but affordable.
So many reviewers seem so disturbed by how to position the Niken; as if words and concepts are more important than the feel when riding. You nailed it, thanks.

they were thinking how they could make a motorbike safer to ride while keeping the handling as good as possible. This bike is much safer in corners, has more traction at the front and is more stable. It's only the narrow-minded that don't seem to understand.
