you're basically the only person teaching options that doesn't lead with "This guy over here is up $500K in a year after using our teachings!" Thank you for being real and teaching us long term skills with attainable goals!
From someone who lives on dividends and options you do an excellent job of explaining both. I am a pretty savvy investor and you go beyond explaining both for the novice and the expert.
You can sell them if you hold the shares and want to sell a covered call. And you can actually sell puts and set the strike price at what is essentially a sale price you set yourself. You just need to be cash secured and have the cash available if you are assigned. Which should be fine because you set your own sale price. 👍🏾
I had my share of losses in option trading. I fell back and started to study and watch videos on option trading, few videos were simple like yours Ms. Rose and the rest is so confusing. Since I downloaded your options notes, I understand it now.
What's up Rose! 😁 Got #1 covered. The stock market itself is a risk. You win, you lose. Got #2 covered. My daily mantra when it comes to investing. Got#3. I've learned to step back when I make a very successful trade(s) because I have to absorb how to best invest the funds. Nice tips!
These are all great points. I have been a long-term investor but am interested in doing some stock trading, as a side hustle. As for trading stocks, I personally am beginning to think that simple stock trading of good companies would be the way to go, for me. That way, if the stock goes down, I can simply wait for it to bounce back in price to sell. There isn't a deadline to worry about, and i don't have to commit to purchasing 100 shares, etc. But I really appreciate this video series, because I have learned more about the stock market, namely options, calls and puts, etc. Knowledge is power!
Looking forward to the live training. Good advice on the video. I've been practicing with Interactive Brokers TWS. So far, I've been doing well, but I have limited myself to only buying contacts no more than $200 as that will be 5% of my fund when I add real cash. I have to say, even when I am only using fake money I was worried as I've spent a few months studying Options and didn't want my first few trades go belly up. So far so good, but can't wait for your seminar. You seem very genuine and you want to really help. Keep up the great work.
I follow your van life to this video clip and I have to say "Thank You for making the video about investing." Many women have no financial security due to no fault of their own from divorce, being laid off because they are over 50, and a situation with family to be caretakers of the elderly...so on and so forth. This is enlightened me to more options for earning and being financially independent.
Thank you so much for making these videos! I got into options a few months ago because of a side comment you made in an older video about covered calls. I never would have even known what options were if it weren't for you! Your content is so easy to understand and makes the whole process less scary and more realistic 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Rose, Thank you for your explanations and I look forward to seeing your training. But, I don't think you've explained that some of your examples involve naked calls, which is Uber scary. Your example of buy to counter the sell I guess is "insurance" but I need more information to see how to do that safely.
Hi Rose I just found you and love your videos, I am learning so much as you make options/finances easy to understand. Unfortunately your masterclass has already happened is there a way to watch a recording or are you planning another one soon?
Thanks Rose for all these great informative vids. In college all my buds went to Wall Street but honestly, I was too intimidated by it all. I had no ideas what anybody was talking about and it seemed very fast paced. Anyway, no that I’m older and have a bit of perspective and money, I’m interested in learning all about trading thanks to you.
looking forward to the masterclass! please discuss the lowest cost way to trade (ie. lowest cost stock that is eligible for options trading) Thank you!
Hey Rose! Thanks for the options series. I've been waiting week to week for these vids, and def a lot of good info! Is the last video going to go over how you actually look for, and execute the trades in TOS? I've yet to find a good "hand held" tutorial on how to open/close these option spreads. Thanks!
I believe she will charge for her step by step in detail on how to do it she will go over how to do it for free but charge for the step by step I believe
So, I am just finding these videos and are in the same boat. Were you able to find some good tutorials on how to open/close option spreads? I want to start, but not before I get more information and have a better understanding haha.
Maybe I missed it in this video series. Do you need to own the stocks before you can sell an option? Or can you buy it after the buyer wants to exercise that option?
Are you going to have another masterclass with options anytime soon? I miss my chance to sign up for the last one. No more open seats. Also thanks for your videos about options. Super helpful.
Congratulations on your continued successes Rose. On your live session videos, such as your options trading seminar, are they available for purchase to view post-release?
I am excited to join your class next week. I have been watching many other videos about option trading and yours are the easiest to follow. Is this the Wheel so many talk about? I am quite green to all this.
Thanks, Rose, for your 6 videos. Excellent content for me as a beginner in options trading. How much is the cost of your master class and when will it next occur?
Appreciate the info Rose those books you mentioned in a video a few weeks ago are really helpful. Just started reading your money or your life and atomic habits is also a great read thanks 👏🏾. Gonna catch up to this series soon.
ive been watching your vids for three weeks on and off till i understand, you are my teacher and i will learn, i realized i always hated school, learning useless crap...this is not useless and i want to learn, if it works ill join your classes, thank you freind
I have a question! Can you create a video on how to get a watchlist going? I watched your master class and most of your videos but I dont know what stocks to pick? Do you normally stick to the same handful of stocks everyday or do you do research every night to create a new list?
I am really enjoying your explanations of options trading. You do an excellent job with examples and are very clear. I know this is a year late but do you still have the 1K On the Side class around? Congrats on successfully reaching the ability to live your life as you choose!
Hi Rose, enjoy watching your video. 100% right, Rookies Trader lack of patience, capital... always go with the flow, biggest mistakes. For me , I learn from Warren buffet quote" be greedy when others are fearful...) . it works for me all these year of trading.
It'd be nice if you could provide specific examples of the Option trades on which you made or most importantly lost money. Specific stock, strike price, expiration date. That'd be easier to follow along and also place ourselves in your shoes. thanks!
I love the idea of options trading for extra income, but wonder how much capital gains tax takes as a rough percentage of whatever profit you make from it.
F I learned I have "Analysis Paralysis", and my reason for Paralysis always changes, I think I'm to fixated on the loss side even for stable stocks/etfs like s&p500. Currently my paralysis is due thinking that we are in a bubble and since the fed will continue to increase interest rates the stock prices will continue to go down.
So busy since kids at home in Summertime 🤦♂️, will have some free time soon will watch and learn your options trade lessons can’t wait - I’m really appreciate that Rose , God bless your heart.
Anytime my trades go well, i ask myself whats the catch? Am I overlooking something or simplifying things too much. Lastly I have to remind myself not to get too greedy since trades can go both ways
2. Loose in one trade is huge risk , concentrated risk , similar for stock - 3 to 5 companies to spread the risk to 25%. well, some ppl will say over spread has thin profit.
Once again good video rose 🤗🙂 thank you love and Rose I'm speaking for myself when I say this your doing fine Talk about both the mathematical and emotional aspects of it. to I love both. I'm keep it 100% with you rose when it comes to educating myself I honestly do not care about entertainment I feel I rather be informed then be entertained being informed is way better for me then being entertained so. I love your video rose God bless you 🤗🤗🤗 Thank you love 😃 and see you in the next one
I use options to determine the micro economic forecast, but only hedge them against trend tails with Iron condors and jade Lizards. If they do not work I tend to go to strangles on a candlestick chart and if all else fails, I simply buy a total market index and ignore it until retirement.
Hi Rose. I watched one of your videos about FIRE just a few days ago and instantly got hooked. I subscribed to your channel right away without any 2nd thoughts. I would like to thank you for sharing your thoughts unselfishly, I am learning a LOT from you. Now, I am binge-watching all of your videos haha :) Thanks for educating us and bringing a positive impact in our financial lives; well at least for me you did :)
Sure, you're covered if your selling and a buyer executes the contract. But you need to have 100 shares per contract incase it happens. And many brokers( Robinhood for example) don't do naked options.
How does the seller of a call have an unlimited downside if the strike price is not reached? Are you referring to the downside as if the price goes over the strike price?
Is that a gold coin pendant on your chain? If yes, what coin is it. I’ve got a peso and liberty coin pendant so far. Trying to purchase an American Buffalo.
great vid Rose, appreciate you sharing your experience even one of the tough ones :) CONGRATULATIONS 50k+ Subs, well done, you've earned it, keep on, cheers :)
i had 10k/20k losses but also equal or more gains...just got to take each win and loss in stride and learn how to control risk management, as long as you are green at end of year then its a win.
Also his loss wasn't that big. It was roughly $200, but since Robinhood's system didn't show the other leg in the trade and contacting customer service is impossible he thought he owed $700k+.
I very often hear from expert option traders that selling a covered call and then having your shares called away from you if share price is above strike price at expiration that, that is a bad thing. I disagree. Im happy if shares are called away from me as it means I have made the highest amount I could on the trade based on how I have constructed it.
you're basically the only person teaching options that doesn't lead with "This guy over here is up $500K in a year after using our teachings!" Thank you for being real and teaching us long term skills with attainable goals!
No she isn’t lol
From someone who lives on dividends and options you do an excellent job of explaining both. I am a pretty savvy investor and you go beyond explaining both for the novice and the expert.
Moral of the story: always buy call/put options because you only lose the premium (purchase ptice you already paid). Never sell them, ever!
You can sell them if you hold the shares and want to sell a covered call. And you can actually sell puts and set the strike price at what is essentially a sale price you set yourself. You just need to be cash secured and have the cash available if you are assigned. Which should be fine because you set your own sale price. 👍🏾

As a super newb investor, I'm quickly becoming a huge fan of yours, Rose! Thanks for making these videos! Can't wait for the live training!

Excellent tips, Rose! Thanks for sharing 📈📈📈

Hello Rose thank you for this video, Do you have a walkthrough video where you demo trading options on TD ?
Will there be a chance to see live demos that show what you explain?

Excellent! Thank you Rose!
So it’s better to buy a call or put because I’d only lose the premium thing and selling has unlimited losses? Am I understanding this right?
That’s what I’m getting too.
I am really enjoying your explanations of options trading. You do an excellent job with examples and are very clear. I know this is a year late but do you still have the 1K On the Side class around? Congrats on successfully reaching the ability to live your life as you choose!
$20 a week? How do I do that when the options are covered with 100 shares of backup on the regular price of the stock?
Got out of some good points out of this option segment, much appreciated.
You are right about emotions. My greed gets a grip on me and I can’t think clearly.

Been looking forward to this all week. Loving this series!

How can the lose be infinite? I thought you can only lose the cost of the premium?
Thank you for this options series

Hi Can you tell me the system that you used to make consistent option trade profit with highest ROI.
Hi Rose, enjoy watching your video. 100% right, Rookies Trader lack of patience, capital... always go with the flow, biggest mistakes. For me , I learn from Warren buffet quote" be greedy when others are fearful...) . it works for me all these year of trading.
So, do you have or is there a good source to explain option spreads with tutorials or examples?
It'd be nice if you could provide specific examples of the Option trades on which you made or most importantly lost money. Specific stock, strike price, expiration date. That'd be easier to follow along and also place ourselves in your shoes. thanks!
If you buy call options do you have to buy the 100 shares or can you just sell the contract for a profit I’m a little lost on this
You can sell an option any time. But buying an option should just be a day trade and short term options are losers when held for days
I love the idea of options trading for extra income, but wonder how much capital gains tax takes as a rough percentage of whatever profit you make from it.
