Today we're going over the Kriss vector. We had some major reliability issues with it that you might want to know about. Let us know, are you going to pick one up!
"About $2200". One thing about that is you also need a tax stamp because that model is a stock and makes it an "SBR". Another one of the many ATF things that is "common sense". Regardless of politics, its a cool and iconic build like he said. Hope to do one myself someday. Great video!
I have been shooting it for over 2 years with that extended mag but never had FTF or FTE or Light strike issues ( mostly steel case and suppressed). I think the upper that you bought has fitment issue with the lower. Otherwise why didn't I have a single malfunction
I have the Gen 2 Enchanced Vector chamber is 45. It runs great and the only flaws I’ve had are with self loads causing light strikes. I wonder if y’all’s issues stem from using a gen 2 gun with a gen 1 upper. Maybe there are some slight differences in tolerances near the ejection port that caused some of the failures. Idk, either way I love the vector. It’s so nostalgic and a must have for a collection. It’s just a cool gun
Edit: To be clear, the first thing I noticed when I got it was that for how expensive it was, the plastic was NOT of Glock or Magpul polymer. Had feeding issues with fully loaded Kriss mag extensions, no issues with only 30 rounds in a mag.
Classic mw2 two-tone, going for the same look. It sucks that you kind of have to buy a complete FDE, then buy a black upper to achieve that look. The lowers have been out of stock for a long while. Beautiful build though!
i have one of those mag extensions from Kriss and i had nothing but issues with it. i think that design was intended for 45 but since its scaled for 9mm it has too little tension inside. id probably use 33rd Glock mags or 27rd Magpul mags... i know it takes from the overall look.
I have one in 40 s&w zero malfunctions. Although I've only ever used the glock 22 round mags. But maybe just maybe the 40 has that extra umph to work the action into reliability. Don't know just maybe? Don't have one in 9mm to compare. What you think?
I have the .45 acp 16” barrel model of the kriss vector. I had many of the same problems. Wonder how much of the issues were ammo related vs magazine related. I bought some reman ammo that i thought was the guilty party since it was .45 instead of 9mm.
So... as a European guy looking into eventually getting the shooting license but how does the kriss behave nowadays? Found out how to fix the mag problem?
Dont waste your money on that upper swap just spend 50 dollars on the strike industries buffer tub plug adapter that allows you to add a folding brace.
That is a fact and i have realized allot of these reviewers don't do a ton of research. Also, I can tell how a person shoulders a rifle/carbine if they are a professional or enthusiast. If you place the stock/or brace closer to your collar bone it will shoot and feel different.
I love this gun so much.. But never owned one, and the more I see of it the more I feel like I shouldn't and that makes me sad. Fragile, unreliable, and debatably gimmicky. I so desperately want it to be good and actually do what it was built for but from what I see it doesn't do a whole lot for recoil in full auto. Praying the gen3 fixes things...
LOL… hard pass. 40S&W is like the hermaphrodite of pistol calibers. Doesn’t have the mag cap of 9mm, doesn’t have the bulk of 45, doesn’t have the ass of 10mm… Just a waste
The Gen 1 folding stock is known to break. Kriss extended mags are known to suck. Why do you RUclipsrs rent and review these niche guns with zero prior research? If you have a regular Gen 2 with the AR buffer tube, use regular Glock extended mags, install the $15 Kriss angled foregrip, and grease the Super V tracks, your Vector is going to run great and handle well.
SIG MPX designed in 2013, In service since 2015. The Vector designed in 2006, In service since 2010. I dunno man, Kriss must’ve invented a Time Machine to kill a gun that wasn’t even designed yet..

A gun is only as reliable as its magazine. Definitely want to get the Gen 3 in 10mm later this year along with the Stribog 10mm.
Those extended mags have that lip inside that causes havoc
GEN 3 supposedly coming out by end of year with Some ergonomic upgrades and new trigger.
You can get one now for $820 average as they are clearing out the Gen 2 in preparation for the Gen 3s.
MFer, where they selling these for $850?
You waited too long after my post but you can get them for $922 now from Blackhawk Armory @logangodofcandy
😂😂
@@CG-ld6xg try about 1200 to 1800$ depending on the model other than 22lr that’s the cheapest version😂
Haven't had many issues with the 45 Gen 2. Gun works pretty well just make sure to keep the tracks lubricated

Best range toy of all time, change my mind.
If they could make the gun overall smaller like if the v mitigation system was smaller, would be a huge improvement

Gen II = 2015
Nostalgic, historic...
I also got the upper and stock change on mine and I love it. Need more rounds through it to see if there's any problems though.
Nice overview. Which VFG is that?
I see these all the time (without stock) for 1200. I wish they were reliable.
Never had a problem with mine and im probably about 700 rounds in 🤷🏻🤷🏻
@@coltonhensel6049 Wow bro, congrats on your one, lol.

Ive got the .45 ACP version of this and had similar issues. Wonder if it’s just hit or miss among them.

Haven’t had any issues on my gen 2 10mm vector, did the whole sbr deal also have an aems on mine and it’s just too much fun honestly

Did kriss replace the upper?
Where can i get this version??? Semi is fine for me
Wonder if that same system would work better as a bullpulp where the weight is distributed better
I don't care lol the Vector is still my fav :)
1st time seeing this, i am totally amazed.. i would shoot that any day. all i keep thinking is, thigh holster or sling? ..lmao! wicked cool looking!
You can get one now for $820 average as they are clearing out the Gen 2 in preparation for the Gen 3s.
33 rnd glock mag is where this gun shines.
Damn this is heart breaking tbh. I bought this gun a few days ago to replace my cz scorpion as my backpack gun
Waiting on a gen 3.
How you like the aems?

If ya'll make parts for it ever.. please do a better trigger. it's so bad
This gun can again be purchased as a pistol with a brace.
Damn I really, really wanna love this gun but damn that seems pretty fragile
