How did you wire different coloured strips together and control each colour independently with one controller and remote? Is it a special kit or just simple led strips that are available on eBay?
You might find it as a kit, where you have the RGB strip plus the RGB controller. If you search for RGB controller on eBay, it's like the first result. The strip plugs into the controller, and the controller into the power supply, allowing the controller to change the lights and special effects.
Hi, so now it's 2018. Are your Led-strips still full working? Made something similar and my strips corroded between the Double sided Tape and the LED pcb. Noticed it because i wanted to do some orange Light and it was only Yellow. I didn't put Aluminum underneath the Strips maybe that's the Point....
Hi, I had a few strips that were "outdoor" type that corroded as you said between then tape and the LED pcb. I then went with a better brand (VTAC) that seems to work better, however, as a long term solution, it is essential to have a glass or plastic sheet between the water and the LEDs.
The RGB controller / Driver has a remote control included in the kit. It is the standard RGB remote that comes with all RGB Led packages. Look at this photo for reference. hidkitpros.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/RGB-Reel-Remote-IR-Controller.png
Hi, just at the DIY builder store. It is sold by the meter. Or, you can look for simple PVC panels as well. The ones made for window sill is the harder of the PVC material, I think it's called Komadur or Komacell.
I'd like to see the specs on paper for the LED's in these rgb strips, 30 watts sounds like a lot for that little an amount of light output, it could be the camera but that didn't look like enough light to grow plants in that aquarium, and i bet it wasn't even that cheap to assemble. Higher end LEDs like CREE and Phillips, can be had for a few bucks easy, and put out a lot of lumens for not a lot of watts. You could go really basic, and use grow light bulbs and clamp lamps and probably have better results for less money.
If that at the end of the video is the light on the aquarium it’s not worth doing it, doesn’t look bright enough for plants to grow
That will doemed upon your led tape. Mine is 15 watts pereter making it strong enough to light up a room

Is this light good for better plant growth?
I'm not sure it has any advantages. I just wanted to use LEDs.

Where did you get the window sill material?

Thank you for the info!

Con las soldaduras así al aire te va a durar dos meses
is it led light harm to fishes
I don't see any reason why it would. It doesn't get as hot as regular light, so it should not affect temperature.
Fail.......Fail..........Fail..... 😏😏😏😏😏
Your tank is waaaaaaay too crowded. You also did a bad job making it. Still appreciate the effort.
