Wow I got my Helix rack 5 yrs ago, I feel like I got a new modeler! The gift that keeps on giving. I'm glad I went with line 6! If I run out of dsp I got a Pod Go I can run into Helix rack fx loop, or visa versa run less intensive DSP in the PodGo with the Helix in the PodGo fx loop running stereo delays and verbs, oh what fun to be had!

Sounds incredible with a les paul... Wish I could get myself one...
Big improvement in the sound, and the ease of dialing in an awesome tone. I updated a couple of days ago and it was well worth it for the sounds, and the reduction in DSP usage by 66-80%. This means that more Blocks or DSP intensive Blocks can be used within the 8-Block limitation. By switching to the same, but new more efficient Cab from the Update, I was able to add the "1 Switch Looper" to a Preset that had an open Block, but not enough DSP. 😎

In my Helix (floor) i reached DSP limits sooner that before update 🤷🏽♂️... the new cabs are OK, but old still useful.

If I use the Helix Lt firmware 3.5, can the new cabs be routed to front of house while routing none cab block to a pair of Line 6 Powercab plus as monitors.

Hi, is there any way for hx stomp to get the factory 1 preset list？I update he Helix edit and stomp, but the preset is not updated like this.

Just updated, wow! The presents got an overhaul, they sound amazing. To be honest the presents sounded like shit before, Must be the cab update.

Sounds great but these are the same presets I saw before the update (I guess). Do I need to do anything to load the factory presets or does it come with the update! I just finished the update.
These are similar presets to the ones before the update, but these have new cabs.
@@ClintCurtis Thanks. Yes they do sound awesome now. Are these new additional cabs or the same cabs replaced with better quality. Reason I ask is that my user tones are now sounding as good as these. Has L6 increased their limit on number of cabs previously available? Thanks.
I have the update, but my presets are totally different than what you have.
I still have the old presets. My helix died during the update and got "boot failure" message. I had to update it from the updater rather than hx edit. Luckily i got it back. Maybe I need to do another factory restore. I have a backup file. I'm loving the update 7 years after buying my helix!
@@ClifftopTragedy My update completed successfully with no issues. I have the new effects, but don't have new presets. HX Effects. I assume the presets should be on it too? Seems like the HX Effects is left behind a bit compared to the other devices in the HX family.
@@ClifftopTragedy did you see the tips on the support website? You’re supposed to use helix edit 3.5 and it gives you the “resume “ button during the update. After it’s complete you factory reset the helix to load the new presets. Then after you decide what you want it tells you how to export or save and add later. If you restore your backup you lose the new presets not saved separately
@@johnkruton9708 it wasn't in the release notes? It was a good surprise though, not that hard to reset factory settings and just not back up factory one and two. Don't forget if you made some presets in the factory settings you'll have to move em to the user 1 or 2 if you want to be able to access them and new presets.
Hey! I don't have those presets. My list is completely different. Just upgraded this AM about 0400. Yes ti's 3.50 and I reloaded Firmware after update as recommended. HXEdit and HX Stomp both at 3.5. Did the Helix get something the Stompers did not? Please anyone?????!!!! If it is, where can Stompers get that Preset set? Now I know why people are going nuts over the sound. The stock presets the Stomp has are similar in lameness to past versions... this is beginning to not be funny....
Did you do a factory reset?
OPTIONAL: Performing a factory reset loads the new 3.50 Factory Presets, but restoring from your backup will overwrite these. Spend some time exploring these and export the factory presets you want to keep (or drag them to your desktop). If you have unused setlists in Helix Floor/Rack/LT, you can also export the entire FACTORY 1 bundle for loading into an unused setlist later.
From the top File menu, select Restore From Backup... If you don't have any important presets in Setlist 1, click the disclosure triangle next to Presets and uncheck the first setlist's box; this will retain 3.50's FACTORY 1 setlist. Select the backup file created in Step 1 and click Restore Backup.

@@Slayer821 You don't get it. I don't have the option of Setlists. I just have Setlist, IR and Favorites. I didn't reload my backup. I was looking at line6 forums and it seems the Stomp does not have the setlist functionality that the Helix does..many Stompers were agreeing. I only have the ONE Setlist with the usual DIR:., ACO:, FX:.. not the Factory 1 list Clint Has. Just wondering how I would get that setlist so I can replace mine. Thanks.
@@blessedheavyelements8544 I have a HX Stomp and Helix Native. If you have Helix Native just export the HX Stomp compatible presets and then import them into the HX Stomp. No more than 8 blocks. If Helix Native is run in HX Stomp capable mode the same set list will appear as your pedal.
Erase all presets/IRs: Power on and Hold all three footswitches.
Erase and reset all presets + IR’s: Power on and Hold footswitches 1 + 2.
Erase and reset allpresets + IR’s + global settings: Power on and Hold footswitches 2 + 3.
