I actually thought it's a city in India or Pakistan then I read the title 😂 As Syrian I respect every country, but I would rather go to Turkey or Greece because they have the same food, structures, wether..etc
Many Syrians also live here in the Netherlands, the food is a bit like Turkish. Is Syrian culture closer to that of Lebanon, or more Iraqi?
@@justinds6345 In general, there are no formal aspects through which a particular "Syrian culture" can be distinguished. because Syria is a huge mixture of many cultures and ethnic groups (it was always a conflict zone since 5000 years at least and every kingdom or empire that passed by had left some of its people and some characteristics of its culture there) in the west Mediterranean part you will find the culture more related to Greece and Cyprus in the eastern northern part more Kurdish, Aramaic, Arabic (Mesopotamic- also the dialect there is iraqish) in eastern southern part it's closer to the gulf Arabs also the dialect is the same because this part is heavily inhabited by Arabs nomads. I'm come from old Damascus we have a Mediterranean food culture and we speak levantine dialect which you can find in the western part of Syria, Lebanon, Palestine.
@@maddatheist7254 Thank you for your valuable information, here in the Netherlands I usually recognize Syrians because the women often wear a white headscarf, and often Western clothing, Pakistanis and Moroccans often dress more conservatively is my idea, but as you indicate, the country is super diverse.
where are all the women??????
In the kitchens...
Congratulations on your new role as travel ambassador to the rich and famous... 🤣
