Mark Wiens, I love how you are culturally conscious and not rushing to do things your own way but rather ask how things are done in other cultures. Awesome bro!
That was a good video and Mr. Peyman was a wonderful host. From my observation, I think Peyman is Iranian by origin and probably living in Dubai, or even was born there. He is familiar with the local tradition and he really tried his best to show you what's available and he did a good job. However, few facts need to be known, the first one is, there is no such thing as Dubai food. Basically, the entire region consisting of UAE, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait share the same food all over, and sometimes, each country might have a slight twist to each in terms of spicing and/or methodology. The second thing, with all due respect to Peyman, the fish sauce bread (Mehyawa) is an Iranian cuisine. It is definitely not a traditional dish, although you will find it served in some neighboring countries. By the way, there are many local dishes that you need to experience and try out. Finally, you both did a good job and my comments are by no means meant to offend anyone, I just wanted to clarify some points for those who are not familiar with our culture. Good luck
This is giving me vacation withdrawals! I went to Dubai for New Years, we went to the Karak tea spot everyday 🤣🤣 I LOVED Dubai, I cannot wait to go back
It's sad that it takes food to bring people together. It's the only thing we all love enough to come together for. If only Democrats and Republicans started having eating rituals together we could fix all the problems Democrats have created.
I don't know why I repeatedly torture myself with Mark's videos - I get so freaking hungry every time I see him eat all sorts of great foods from all over the world. Imagine my disappointment that I'm about to have a "sandwich" for lunch - two slices of bread, slice of Salame from local Safeway, lettuce, tomato, mustard. Not even cheese since I ran out of it. Mark - maybe you should come back home and do a video of all us unfortunate souls barely swallowing our bland foods and lacking your trademark awwwwwwww/whooaaaa expression. There are absolutely no flavors bursting in my mouth when I disappointingly devour on my slice of bread, your videos are dreamworld to me.
I am Muslim but that is hardly an Islamic thing. Most if not all African Culture do that. The idea is to create unity and comradery among family and friends.

Why do you have an Arabic name in the Cyrillic language?
@@gamermapper he might be from Uzbekistan/Turkmenistan/Kazhakstan etc. , they are Turkic/Persian but use Cyrillic language because they are former soviet union satellite states...

What's the dress code for women
That's why I love emirate arebs very humble people .. I'm proud to work in Dubai
Ive wanted to go but worried because im pretty much obviously not straight annnd theyve got oppresive heat. A nurse i work with only has terrible things to say of her life there. It has to be like any other large city with wonderful places and dangerous places/ wonderful people and dangerous people alike. Ill just not go where im not welcome haha!
Since you working in dubai.. They say Allah for God
Allahu Akbar mean God is the Greatest
Peyman is Persian not arab
Your friend is really awesome .. May God continue to bless him for such a generous heart .

I can bet a million and say that the Arab brother did not even allow Mark to touch his wallet and he paid for everything. That’s Arab hospitality.

get over yourself...what about the imigrants starving in Dubai? also Arab hospitality?
@@sebastian-wj5jy you’re right but a working class Arab is very hospitable
So true!
And that's not something you take pride on. Don't make so cleché. Let be natural af.
Maashaa Allaah.. what an amazing food.. Mr. Mark you’ve reminded me my olden days, enjoying the same kind of food eating with Saudi friends tooo.. it’s equally relinquishing..Special regards to the host, Mr. Payman for his hospitality and best of his cooperation..which shows how friendly are the people from Middle East...
Hate the idea of eating from one plate and how could you pick up yogurt on rice with your fingers. Not my cup of tea.
@@bubujooestes1499 it's a tradition also no one asked if you like it or not
Mark Wiens, I love how you are culturally conscious and not rushing to do things your own way but rather ask how things are done in other cultures. Awesome bro!
Even I do appreciate
Even I do appreciate that
True
I like payman...his very kind an good..he invited him his home cook for them that's lovely. ..
Yes he is cute, so full of humanity 😊

Nice to see that two different cultures can come together and have so much fun breaking bread together.
It's sad that it takes food to bring people together. It's the only thing we all love enough to come together for. If only Democrats and Republicans started having eating rituals together we could fix all the problems Democrats have created.
Your host was so nice and professional

Jeylani Munye what?
He has a show travelling to other countries with his brother while wearing kondura.
Real Hospitality shown by our emirati brother. well done.
Muslims eat from same plate , its a show of humility and brotherhood and ofcourse equality ...amazingly , it has remained same since centuries..
A H it sure is a special bond.
TheTruth that's all you took from the video? You literally came here to hate.
TheTruth bro you don’t know anything you’re probably a kid so stop hating
I am Muslim but that is hardly an Islamic thing. Most if not all African Culture do that. The idea is to create unity and comradery among family and friends.
TheTruth the only backward minded blind sheep in here is you and your comment.
