Dimple in an interview revealed that Vikram was indeed filmy and so was their love story. No wonder people who don't know about this will critisize the movie a little bit.
Those who are criticizing the romance part...they don't know that it was true and not exaggeration of love stories...Vikram put blood on her forehead instead of vermillion actually happened and the gurudwara incident too...

I felt very differently,
I liked it as a standalone movie, but it didn't make me feel the same way when I read about Capt Batra or when i saw his documentary. Little lack of soul I felt.

The drone, the intel, the explosions yeah there was a bit of more soul to uri cause it was made like to get revenge and stuff where as Shershah is all about capt. Vikram Batra. Moreover uri didnt have any emotional(emotional as in romance and stuff) link it was all action, revenge, action maybe that's the reason you would have liked that

When Captain V. batra said nobody gonna die under my company he meant he will lead from front . That's one of the motto why India has highest KIA rate of officers in the world .
The act of cutting his thumb and putting the blood on dimple's forehead is filmy but if you think about it, it is such a precious and intricate act. He's a soldier and his blood belongs to his motherland, if he uses sheds even a drop of that blood for someone else then it is a matter of privilege. He offered his first love (his motherland) and his last love (Dimple) his only priced possession; his blood ❤️

The Romance in the war film is very necessary because it is a plays a very vital role in Vikram's life. And even though it is a little cheesy that is how he was. It is said in the interview by Dimple that he is a very romantic person. There isn't any extra or filmy in this. It's all well made
Captain Batra once missed an insurgent, his co Bajwa called him up & asked “son how did you miss? Okay next time be careful”, some days later before going to Kargil he said “sir, I give you my word that this time I won’t miss”

I'm saying honestly... I cried while watching this movie. I'm proud of Capt. Vikram Batra, His Family and specially His Love Dimple. 🙏
The good thing about the movie is they showed much of his character as a soldier in battle as compare to his love story . Also the war combat shots seemed to be real.
The rocket launcher shots looked very faked, the operator didnt brace,just lumped the barrel on his shoulder and the rocket shot out like a firework, there was no kickback, and there was no backblast
Aslo artillery shells are not rockets, shells don't have a smoke trail because they aren't self propelled
On some scenes the grenade shrapnel looked decent but there were many instances where grenades cause a huge fireball,excuse me?
Simple gun mechanics were off, while camerawork, cinematography, CGI were good and deserve recognition but when simple gun mechanics are overlooked im suddenly reminded that i am indeed watching a bollywood movie, we can't have everything great, something always has to be lacking in action sequences,
I appreciate that there were fewer music covers, but i skipped them anyway because i still think war movies and biographies should not be spoilt by bollywood music

PALAMPUR is my home town and I am so lucky to be living at the same place where PVC VIKRAM BATRA once lived. And yes Capt Vikram was indeed very filmy in real life. YE DIL. MANGE MORE was also a film reference used by him.

I burst into tears mid way through the film. All I could see was the smiling face of Vikram Batra..knowing what awaits him.

I knew about Major Vikram Batra around Kargil & remembering each year around kargil diwas. I watched this movie and really had a feel of how the guy thinks.He really meant “Yeh Dil Maange More”. The strature of Mr Batra is so great that his regiment still waits for his supper to be served before anyone takes their servings. Jai Hind 🇮🇳
I'm proud that he was (is and will be) from my country INDIA my state HIMACHAL and exactly my city PALAMPUR 🙂🙃

I'd give this movie a 3.5 rating out of 5. Maybe CGI was out of place in some scenes, but otherwise the movie does hit an emotional chord. And Siddharth's acting was great. No wonder this movie is being touted as his career-changing film.

INDIAN ARMY'S YOUNG OFFICERS WHO JUST JOINED SACRIFISE THEIR LIFES FOR US. and we here in public always show that we can also do anything for our ARMY but in reality WE CAN'T EVEN GIVE THEM A SEAT IN BUS OR METRO

That virtually impossible noble thought as mentioned by Achara in 11:50 to 12:00 was made miraculously possible by captain Vikram Batra in real life while capturing point 5140 during Kargil War Achara... in his battalion 13 J&K Riffles, there were zero casualties and next while capturing point 4875, only one person died from 13 J&K Riffle and it was none other than captain Batra himself. I would also like to point out certain facts that were not properly shown in the movie, captain Batra did not die during the battle rather he died right after the battle. The Pakistanis were retreating from the post as they were defeated by our brave Indian soldiers, the post was captured and wounded were attended, now while attending a wounded soldier captain Batra put his gun down and lifted the wounded soldier who has lost his feet, captain Batra or anyone did not think that the Pakistanis are so pathetic that even after retreating they will start shooting, a Pakistani troop while retreating saw this and shot few rounds which surprisingly hit Captain Batra's chest and he laid down his life as a martyr. This is how, captain Batra fulfilled what he promised, that there shall be no Indian casualties under his command and if there is any... it will be either of the enemy or himself... This victory was the reason that captain Vikram Batra was awarded the Param Vir Chakra, the highest honour of award for bravery and valour.... he did not just give his life but also saved everyone else's life in his battalion... he is a real-life legend.. a hero. @Achara Kirk and @Jaby Koay
