I was in Khao Lak years ago. We stayed in the Khao Lak Orchid Beach Resort which was great an the scenery for the movie „The Impossible“ with Nicole Kidman. Nice Resort, great movie and and lovely beaches. In 2022 I’ll come back! ❤️ Thanks für your video!

I like your videos and I love Khao Lak. Unfortunately, your video will contribute to the fact that Khao Lak will soon no longer be paradise, because of the many videos published (also by other bloggers) it will be overrun with tourists. If Khao Lak will be overrun with tourists in a few years and will look like Patong Beach, then the word "Paradise" can no longer be used in connection with Khao Lak. Unfortunately this will be the result of your and other videos. I remember, for example, 8-10 years ago, Coconut Beach was almost empty even in the peak season, and beautiful. In the last few years before the Covid pandemic hit, the beach was so crowded that it was only with a lot of luck that you found an available sun lounger. But I know many people want to make easy money as a video blogger and rarely think about the consequences of their activity. Anyway, your videos are beautifully done. I'll probably go back to Coconut Beach next week, it's still like the Paradise at the moment (thanks to Covid)!

Thank you for the update. Its not changed much and I don't expect it to improve till 2023 across all Thailand. Unfortunately its the government stalling tourism, unlike other country's with Island destinations where the government is helping to bring the lost tourism industry back and helping businesses stay afloat. The recent test + test and go will do nothing to help going forward. Cheers
Hi Gabi can you suggest any good island to stay at for a few nights. Would prefer a quieter island with beautiful beaches. Iv stayed at phi phi and koh lanta in the past. Will be visiting in Jan 2023. Thanks :)
White sand beach was perfect with all the restaurants, been there 2015
Looks very different ( for the better ) than when I was there as a volunteer just after the Tsunami in 2005. Remember running up the main road to get up the mountain after another earthquake and another expected tsunami. Thankfully it never came

Yeah the weather is getting very hot here and it’s hard for me to put on any type of protection. But for longer rides I definitely wear them

if you want to see something really different (as Savanna) go to Koh Phra Thong...only 3 or 4 hotels there. Don't miss Surin islands; we did prefer than Similan. We hope to come back there in 2023...missing so much this place and all people we know there.
We go to Khao Lak every February but we changed our flight from February 2022 to February 2023 as we would not risk being put in quarantine whilst on holiday. Omicron seems to spread very easily and for us it was not worth the risk. It is still very quiet in Khao Lak and a bit too quiet for us. It will stay quiet until the rules are eased. It is beautiful though and the beaches are stunning. and I hope it gets busier for the lovey Thai people

Hi! Im visiting khao lak in august with my family. I want to record this awesome experience with my drone. But ive read that the restrictions are so tough. I saw that you flew and recorded with your drone.
IS it true that you only can do the registration and some stuff on arriving at kha lak? Because ive read that the registration can take 2 weeks and then our trip would be over and i couldnt even record.

Hello, yes that is true. But many people bring their drone and fly it anyway, but of course it’s “illegal”

Hi Gabi, can u tell everyone how you can stay in Thailand for such a long time, as we all no that tourist only have a 30 day visa on arrival with an extra exstention for another 30 day before having to leave the country for 2 days, before returning back??. May you can tell us why and how you can stay longer in the country like you?. Many thanks 👍 for any help on this matter.

We were in Khao Lak in 2018 and 2019. Bookings since we had to cancel. Still looking at the X10 in May. They need to make the test and go easier. The extra cost alone for us would be around $900.00 aud. Not good for a couple of pensioners. We will make our decision in late March. We do hope to get back to Khao Lak.
