Happy flying!
Excellent job as usual. Thanks for sharing, thumbs up!
Cheers, Bob
Great video mate! love your reviews
Excellent- Thanks for always thear
Very clean setup, if you have an Easycap device you could record your flight to the tablet.
Great video as ever.
Wondering if I can break out RSSI from a 1.3ghz vrx and use it for long range diversity between a bluebeam and a pepperbox. Shame no audio though. I run a vector. I guess you'd have to split that out seperatly or modify the box. :P
Crap, Auto Scan?! I'm so far behind the curve, it's straight. I just bought a 48 channel receiver for my ground station and thought I did something cool. NOT!
That big black box with all the ins and outs, is really cool! I have a bunch of junk around here I could build one of those.
I have that same bracket on the back of my video monitor!
Well likes I have more shopping to do! Thank you again for a great video!
one word. great!
Awsome indeed
too bad the components not available on hobbyking anymore, would be nice if you can make a new tutorial for a tracker antenna for long range setups
Thanks for the review, I have just ordered the ground station, but can you tell me where I can get a bendy cable for the helical like your one? Many thanks
I used a semi rigid SMA extension cable for things like that.. Hope that helps..
Another great video, thanks. What on earth have you done with that Mobius that appears at the bottom of the screen (16:43)? It looks like it's wired to a transmitter?
If you Google 'painless360 mobius cradle' you'll find the video about it - very cool little bit of kit.. Happy flying!
I have it and live it.
do know if the 12v connections are sure protected to power goggles?
+Grant Cassar not sure, hobbyking support should be able to answer that question. Best of luck!
What is a rough range on this considering it but theres no real personal discriptions as in distance v quolity
It really depends more on the antennas you’re using and also on the power the FPV video transmitter I don’t expect to get a couple hundred metres range with legal 25mW and circular polarised antennas with this kit, just like everything else really..
Great video! Based on this video and others where you use this station I made the decision to get the same one. I'm new on this topic so I need guidance. In this video you showed that Quanum was coming with the option of placing 2 Quanum 40 channel Diversity receivers, so when ordering they happened to also be available and in the spur of the moment I went ahead and order those. But I cant figure out how I actually would get quad diveristy or diveristy at all from the 2 units. Or I'm missing something, sorry new on this so maybe a stupid question. Can you please have a look at the manual for the diversity receiver and give a recommendation on how to best use them with this station. Thank you again for your outstanding videos.
See the review video of the Diversity units - HK decided not to add the RSSI out feature to them. An oversight in my opinion. Happy flying!
+Painless360. Yes I figured that out. Not sure how I actually can use my 2 receivers since really one will do the same as two standard receivers. Don't understand what HK intended when they show that 2 diversity receivers can be installed. Basically pointless! Just to bad.
could I add two dual diversity receivers for four antennas
You could but the HobbyKing ones don't have an RSSI output cable.. ;(
How much modding would it take to use 2X 1.2 rx?
+Bill Vickers It would depend on the receiver I guess? Not sure what the signal for RSSI looks like..
Sorry not being very clear I was thinking as the receivers are well mounted maybe the actual antenna could be on a pole with a coax extension cable as opposed to taking power, video and rssi to a remote antenna. Dave
+David Bock quick tip on this after some testing coming soon..
Painless360 Hello, Did I miss the upcoming quick tip or am I simply confused? Thanks! :)
PS - Another informative product(s) video! :)
You missed it ;) Google something like 'ground station painless360 mount' to see it :D
With so many ground stations that already have the receivers in the unit I'm not sure why someone would buy this one?
Can you use other receivers?
+Scott Allen possibly, but it's obviously designed to work with these specific Hobbyking receivers. Happy flying!
great review, is that a slow discharge battery ?
+michael lee Not sure what you mean. C rating?
yes
The one we're using is a 5200mAh 10C pack. perfect for this application..
Looks like a great bit of kit. Unfortunately i dont think it will work with other receivers or bandwidths?
I think hobbyking missed the mark on that.
Anyone who would be considering purchasing a ground station will already have at least one receiver which wont work with this ground station.
Especially when the cost of the ground station and two receivers cost £122.97 without the screen or battery!!!
Not everyone wants to use 5.8 either.
Come on HobbyKing make this compatible with other receivers of all bandwidths.
I would purchase one if it worked with my 1.2ghz receivers.
Other people have said the same thing to me.
+andrew hodgkinson Sorry for the moaning.
Love the Painless 360 channel.
rours links are not aviable (yours vidéos you are talking..) but thank's for all of your work is help me a lot!!! thank's!!! :)
This is an old video (See date at start), I don't think this product is even available anymore..
@@Painless360 is not a problem i send you this message for all your work ;) thank's ;)
old video, the item is not available anymore, thats sad.
Sadly yes. That's why I date the videos so you know when it's an old one.. Best of luck
It is on sale right now. I just bought one. Had to ship from global but it got here. This video helped me realize that I don't need the quantum RX with RSSI out as I can just use a modern RX with it's own diversity. But I can still use the video in and splitter if I want.
what a rippoff box with couple sockets = 100$ too much
it cost 36 dollars lol
thirty six dollars
lol
