- The latest patch v1.7.8 introduces a new boss that can be found in the Ashpit, known as Clutch. Apart from this, it includes a lot of buffs to some items, such as Mom's Razor, Backstabber, Camo Undies, Lil Dumpy, and more!

The actual TF2 reference in this video is the Camo Undies buff, because that's basically The Spy's "Enforcer" gun in Isaac.

i feel like they had this planned out for lazarus well before repentance released, since now bethany's unlock seems like a decent challenge, to not get any damage up from reviving
Actually nothing changed, no death gameplay for Lazarus is the same as it has been

There is no Challenge. Just don't die Before Winning as Lazarus and you unlock Bethany. This might be an Oversight though...
I don't think they had this planned. Edmund stated on Twitter that Two Characters rated lowest from the isaac community were reworked (??? And Lazarus), so I don't think this Reworked was planned. This probably was the Main Concept behind Tainted Lazarus though, seeing that T.Lazarus was admitted to be Rushed and it Fits Lazarus' Character well, as he is known to Revive once in the Bible. They probably scrapped this for the modern T.Lazarus as they liked the concept of Changing Character in a run more, seeing that Esau Jr. Is an Item that exist...

To be fair, a _lot_ of things synergize with Rock Bottom. But yeah, I definitely agree!
EDIT: Actually, on second thought, it's even better than I initially considered. Since you get the boost in pretty much every room, it's not hard to boost your damage and tears even further. This really is an especially good synergy.

@@movezig5 The boost is only applied Once. Rock Bottom Locks Isaacs Stats to behave as the highest they have ever been upon picking up the Item. It's still a good boost though, but it's not infinite tears...

@@gumiguy Yes, but the real point it's not easy to up the stats after take that bonus.
The Lazarus change was really unexpected and the fact you can basically revive in every floor with the cost of one heart container and you gain a damage bonus and makes birthright even more powerful even with the nerf, not to mention laz is probably the one that would benefit on the suicide king card more than anyone else, not to mention you can trade your life for some devel deals or sacrifice rooms if you know what your doin, it is just wow and so did not expected so many posibilities. But I can see why Ed wants to make the first cast of isaac more interesting, because people really like to play more tainted versions and some better characters. Blue baby doesn't have necessarily a massive change other than discounted devel deals which is nice. Now these changes makes them more than worst versions of isaac

I actually waited for laz rework, he always felt like just isaac without d6. You either use reviving asap or just forget about it, he just didn’t have a special feature. Now he is one of the most interesting characters, finding the most effective methods of utilising his second life, his damage and health is just amazing, never i thought so much on any of my actions, calculating everything (this might be just my nerd asian part that likes maths)
So many ways are open and i can say for sure, he is fucking broken and he will receive a nerf near future

Honestly the Blue Baby change is huge for making the early game less miserable as them.

11:25 Oh thank Ed! The biggest issue with greed/greedier mode was that the first floor felt like you either needed an insane start or you just died. This should solve that problem.

I bought repentance like two days ago, several months late. It’s pretty reliving to see that they’re still active in updating the game, as it’s one of my favorites
I bought it like, the past summer and it's still very cool to see this things :)
The best part about lost fly is that it basically oneshots almost anything that comes in contact with it.
Now it can do it easier.

It's strange that not many people are talking about the major bug rn in the sacrifice room atleast on ps4 and from others ps5. From what i've gathered its the "You feel blessed" message that causes the game to crash and restart the floor
Y'all don't understand how busted lost fly is, now basically every enemy that can walk (includes bosses) goes into it instead and recieves huge damage
I once got it early and it genuinely carried the run.
I was fighting mom and the stomps were directed at the fly, letting me easily damage it while the fly melts it. Even things like mulligans who usually don't run towards stuff just go for the fly and get melted

It's nice to know that they fixed the Onan's Streak challenge so that it requires Judas to be unlocked. I found it weird that a challenge where your preset is Judas was unlocked before you got Judas. ^_^

Honestly so many items that were shit back then are so good now. Lost Fly, Backstabber, Shovel
For those who were wondering, Isaac at base stats goes to 12.91 Damage and 10.23 Tear rate
I may be wrong since the stat goes down so quickly, but this was the highest i could catch it
so glad these items got reworked everything in this update made them now actually unique
Blue baby now has finally some cool advantages other then the no red heart damage
Camo Undies and razor is actually useful now even the re worked lost friend is so much better

Stage 1: denial
My most-wanted bugfix was the glitch with items that change over time resetting to their initial state when Flipping with T-Laz or when coming out of the Mines II Mom's Shadow chase. Ex. Bumbo would go back to his base form even if he was fully powered up. I didn't see anything about that in the patch notes. Does anyone know if that's been fixed?
What I (an isaac veteran) gleamed from this update.
- Laz got a completely un-needed hard buff. He was never hard to play, but, okay, free infinite damage boosts, let's go
- ???'s starting use-item is no longer nearly useless, and now he gets better devil deals? AWESOME.
- Mom's razor (And the bleed effect in general) is no longer useless! Sweetness.
- Camo undies buffed.. Not really needed, but hey, now it serves a purpose in boss fights.
- Lost fly now attracts enemies... Hrm.. Why do I see this thing getting me killed a few times because of that..
- D12 is now 35% more useful. Will be fun to use if you have nothing else, but still replaced with better items without hesitation.
- Pay to Play getting a serious upgrade. Now THAT'S a game-changer. Especially since coins are much easier to farm than keys..
- We need to go deeper is now a lot less useless if you're not speed-running.
- Lil dumpy nerfed, is now much harder for him to accidentally kill isaac. I still predict a few unforeseeable deaths here and there, though..
- Voodoo Head buffed.? I always found it beneficial, now it's even more beneficial, sweet.
- Book of sin given a teensy buff, and will no longer blue-battery you.
- Libra still sucks.. Go figure, the one item that is the literal embodiment of balance, continues to suck after two balance changes.
- The nail, and bloody lust now only cost 1 heart in devil deals?.. Not bad.
- Wait, little horn wasn't already in the devil room pool?.. I could've sworn it was..
- Useless item, replaced with another useless item in devil room pool.
- No-longer-useless item, replaced with previously aforementioned useless item, in devil room pool.
- Blank card more common in shops. Cool I guess. I never used it much.
- Bomber boy more common in bomb bum item pool. Alright.
- Greed mode slightly nerfed, neat. That'll make hard starts easier to get going.. Actually a pretty decent balance change.
- Beggars can't give useless crap in greed mode. Cool.
- Wait why wasn't thick odd mushroom and ball of bandages already in greed mode item pools?
- Was cube of meat too common in greed mode item pools or something?
- 12:21 Why were they removed from the devil room item poo?..
- Less useless devil rooms in greed mode, okay.
- Urn of souls now more awesome.
- Ventricle Razor now 2% less useless.
- Bug fix?
- Wait, I SWEAR monster manuel could already give you gimini.. Am I crazy?..
- The corpse rooms less annoying.
- D7 Less.. Annoying?
- Red Monstro II 35% more annoying.
- Backstabber 50% less annoying.
- No more random early onan's streak.
- THAT'S NOT FUNNY, HEAVY HAS BEEN IN A MENTAL INSTITUTE FOR MONTHS WITH NO SIGN OF RECOVERY AND THERE'S STILL BOTS ALL OVE-
The tf2 music playing after updated localization files is the icing on the cake.

An update to Team Fortress 2 has been released. The update will be applied automatically when you restart Team Fortress 2. The major changes include:

Something worth noting is that the 'Import Rebirth' button on the file screen has been removed. No one will ever mess up their data with that again.

Listen, if you remake your champion video to inlcude the new boss sprites, I'd watch it all over again since I wanna see them all
I feel like I should wait a bit on that. Some of them are glitched at the moment and it's very possible they change them, or even add some new ones.
The TF2 sound during the last bit was a well executed joke.
One change that I would really love to see is getting credit on the note for the character you start with no matter if you use a revive item. Because Inhave all the red marks for ??? And Lazarus. So I would never want to pick those items up now.

Reduced enemies in greed mode on the first floor might make greed mode not feel like CBT
as lazarus getting lazarus’s rags should give him an extra replenishing life and have a chance to replace any extra life item but be blocked from spawning normally and the amount of damage he keeps after turning back to normal should be a tiny fraction of his current damage instead of being fixed at 0.5
Rip Tainted Cain no longer able to craft fixed recipes if not unlocked first
