I think this is the only good tap solo maddie has had on the show I've seen clips of her tapping not on the show amazing but all her other tap solos on the show totally suck
I honestly don't care how many advanced steps were in this performance, it was simply beautiful and I think that is the most important thing with dance. Technicality is important, but telling story and engaging audience more. I just love this so much!
This is a really good solo. I love how graceful Maddie is and how in every dance she performs it is full of energy. She always uses emotion and has strong legs and powerful arms. Her emotion is flawless, in lyrical she has a face that suits that dance. Same for all other styles, she has faces which go with the story of the dance. She really is a all-round superstar. PS... She is my Role Model ;D
Abby should let Maddie do more tap solos because from her facial expression, it is obvious that she loves to tap. So why not give her something that she actually LIKES and not just force her to do something that she has no interest in. Also the last part between Maddie and Mackenzie was SO CUTE
Oh my God people judge Maddie a lot based in just one or two dances! Come on, you don't know what she really is capable of!! Of course her tap dances will look easy on the show, because the girl just have 3 days to learn it!!! You can't see one dance and say :"oh, Maddie isn't so good at tap as she say she is!" nobody knows what she does at the studio, when she has enough time to learn and clean the dance!! Of course Sophia's dances will be better, cause she has all the time in the world to practice! And, Sophia is a profissional dancer since she was 10. She has a training way more advanced than any dancer at the ALDC. And she doesn't have to go to competitions every single weekend! Gosh, is it so hard to accept?!! Maddie is a great dancer, period!! Go and pack something better to do than hate on a kid that you doesn't even know.
I'm not a Maddie fan whatsoever, but I have to admit that this solo is absolutely fantastic. She just completely sold it and if she didn't look like a kid, I would've thought she was a professional.
When I see this masterpiece of sheer art I have to wonder why Maddie stayed with Dance Moms for so long? She seemed to get so burnt out and I know more opportunities came like Sia and spots on tv and then much later movies but she was also famous enough by this time that she could have gone to New York and with more voice training done Broadway...I don't know what Maddie's dreams were at this time but I feel that she was held back by being "Abby Lee Miller's star" and just doing brief things on the side. Maddie loved to perform on stage and I think it's sad she didn't do that for something besides competition after competition before she became a young adult.
You can see how much passion she has for tap. It may be my least favourite to teach as my students can be so loud and take a while to pick it up it’s such a hard style but you can really see hee passion!

maddie can definely make it to broad way. She has the dance technique but embodies her characters SO well

Her tap moves are not that advanced, and she probably doesn't pick up on the movements right away, because tap solos take a lot of time to perfect
The producers thought her tap was boring and only let her do it sometimes sich is why Abby was always so happy to give her tap solos
