I don't think it's insanity. It's more like normality. But, yeah, I know what you mean. However, I find it kinda special that it is loved by so many core users while being shunned by so many more standard game players. Even though millions of people are fans, it still feels like a little-known niche band that you like even though your friends don't care about it.
@@jonahstein2139 True. Most people didn't find the game appealing and that kinda makes it feel special. It's still such an amazing game for me. I fall in love with it more and more every time I replay it. The story is truly the most beautiful thing about it in my opinion. I love single-player games and death stranding had me hooked since the first trailer. The world and the characters were truly so amazing and interesting, and I'm glad that they are making DS2.
This is the only game I've ever played where I tought "OK, I would perfectly understand if most people would'nt like it, even though it's a masterpiece for me". This game is so unique, so special. Even though I liked the gameplay, I can perfectly see why it's not for everyone. I know people who skip every cutscene in a game because all they want is to PLAY, (which, to be honest, is beyond me) so a walking simulator is just not it. (to be clear, this game is more for me than a walking simulator but that's what people call it so..)
I didn't know he passed away until I read your comment... I saw Low Roar live twice in what were probably my most intimate concerts. The first one I attended was also my first 'real' concert and set in motion my love for more. I cherished that memory and their music deeply. He will be sorely missed indeed...
That game resonated with me so much, love that these videos exist, having Sam there with Lou and the whole environment makes it so great. I wish there was a way to just let the game run like this with panoramas. So peaceful.
Eh, not really. Making all that way on foot makes you realise how much you've learned, how less intimidating the landscape looks because you've mastered traversing it.
Need more vids like this. The music ,the atmosphere of death stranding, .... I'm shook that this doesn't have at LEAST 100k views and at LEAST 3k comments. I'd love to find that you created more of these. I deeply appreciate this video. Low Roar combined with the game plus no rushing.... this vid, to me, is pure gold. A million thanks.
Finally someone that appreciate the game how it is... Take the time, walk and listen the music. I restarted the game for a 2nd game and i only walk. No bike no vehicle and no online. Cause the construction of others ruin the game and turn all too easy. Good video and you choosed the best music of low roar. Continue like this
100% agree. I mean, I was pleased to see new devices/vehicles added, and the social aspect made the game special, but it simply made it too easy at the same time. I'd start up the game and there would already be bridges and ladders everywhere. I felt when you first play the game the odds are against you, even the smallest journeys felt difficult, making them somewhat rewarding. If they'd left it so that all you could do was walk/run the game would have felt like even more of a journey. Maybe they worried it would be too tedious though.
But other player's structures and equipment are the MVPs during this mission, man. All those "irrelevant" container repair sprays saved my cargo, not to mention that climbing anchor that helped me avoid the 5-lion area.
IMHO This is game isn't supposed to be hard. It's mind relaxing, about connecting people and message bearing medium for today's disconnected often hostile peeps to get their ***** together. Just the fact you literally can't die says something. Kojima's DS made me feel so good by letting me just walking around, listening all these never heard before songs, randomly discovering signs of others porters. There was literally nothing happening most of the time along my ways but it never felt boring or meaningless like most other open word games do. I honestly think that playing DS offline misses the point of the game. But everyone is free to enjoy their games their own way and i respect that.
One of the most intense moments in video games ever. An almost impossible task, walking in the hazardous rain, and then this song beginning. Overwhelming!
In the end of this song you can hear the sound from x-ray machine. I know it from when my wife was in for brain scan and i was sitting next to the x-ray machine.
Im like late to comment but if you can handle tedious repetition the game has moments that shine but when it comes to combat its complicating and tedious as well but the moments that shine in the game sell it for me the soundtrack is amazing some story cutscenes can be amazing, the game has hidden chance cutscenes you'll eventually see while playthroughing the game but the game is boring but addictive and the game even tells you "hey maybe you should take a break" which maybe is just me playing the game extensively😅
It's insane that some people missed the wonderous beauty of this game, because "it's just walking".

@@Killearth3 Totally agree. Love the game and it's a world that keeps on giving. Let's hope the second one is just as unique.
This type of game are not for all people.
Rest in peace, Ryan. You will be missed

In my eyes the haul allll the way back to Capital Knot was the REAL final boss
That journey to deliver Fragile's cryptobiotes was absolutely gruelling.

@@telefrag. I was thinking more of the boss-level BTs everywhere than the distance.
@@ripace554 oh, that boss-rush was nasty. Given that you can't craft anything, they catch you with your pants down every time, I agree.
Thanks to the roads I built and trike.
Is it only me or this game fills your lungs with fresh air and clears and gets in order your feelings?

the no rushing really adds so much to the atmosphere it’s great.
It is not a "creation" m8. This is in game gameplay, music and all. Anyone that has finished the game has seen this exact "creation"
No one asked you "m8".

Such a badass moment tbh
I didn't have that anti-timefall wrap for my cargo... Had to run really, REALLY fast.
Damn I keep remembering this song, it comes on at a very unusual point of the story where you have absolutely no idea how to make your way back
The one thing better than just straight up listening to the track is to see the gameplay moment that introduced me to the track. Thank you.
best part of the game is the moment when music drops

My 2019 GOTY
Absolutely PHENOMENAL MASTERPIECE!
One of the best game ever made in the universe, i cried over and over again after i finished this masterpiece
It would have been nice If it could listen Music anytime in the gameplay

Such an incredible piece of art.
Will DS 2 hold up music-wise?.. Hard to imagine.
The soundtrack really fit with this game.
Love this experience.
Best walking simulator I ever played!! Still haven't finished. Great graphics and soundtrack
Stunning. Thank you for this video

Should I play this game? If yes why??cos i heard many negative reviews abt this game 😢

wat order # is this one ? like i have did many orders from port knot city. but never unlocked this sound track.
It's near the end, look at the sky. Deliver cryptobiots from port knot city to capital city for Fragile.
I've never played this game but what are all of the baby noises about?
he carries a baby that its connected to the world of the dead so he can detect the entities
too much rain noise
in my opinion, the games sound design and rain only enhances the music
