Best 8 speed derailleur ever made imo, I put one on my beater commuter ebike to replace the trash Acera it came with & it's indestructible. Tho the 6/7 speed model Deore that came before this is even better I reckon, Shimano were at the top of their game back then.
Excellent video. One question (in my non-native language 😅): one of the silver holders of the black piece of my derailleur where we can see the model broke, and "I fixed it" with a metal piece, and it hold it ok... but it is loose, it doesn't return... the black piece has a spring inside? I can't see it online, and my derailleur does not return after increasing the change on the cogset... if you understood me I'd like your opinion 😁 thanks in advance
Sounds like the thin stopper pin is seized or wasn’t screwed in right. If it’s broken you’ll need to find a donor mech that you can take it off. You want to rotate the cage counter clockwise and push it down all the way before you screw it in hope that helps!
@@RetroRebuilds thanks for your answer! I just published a video (you can see it in my profile) to show you "my fix" (believe it or not that "fix" has months 😁, but today I tried to fix the fix, because it's kind of annoying to bike like that... you can see how loose it is... I think I lost a piece when it broke
Ok thanks your derailleur is shot that’s very rare, you’ll need a new body. The spring seems to be broken. I actually have another spare LX body but it won’t work with yours. I’ll let you know if I have a spare
@@RetroRebuilds they deleted an answer I gave I guess because of a link. I was saying Im from Venezuela and probably that's not close for you 😁I saw in an internet image the spring I'm missing, I guess I'll go for a new cheap derailleur or see what else I can find. I'm following you in both of your channels now, thank you very much. I was so ready to use this tutorial 😂
Thanks! Do not buy a new cheap one they are complete trash I wouldn’t be caught dead using one. Look locally on Facebook marketplace see if you can find a decent older one. Lmk what you find. If you don’t I have the exact same one I have I’ll send it to you over EBay for 10 bucks plus shipping.
Wich is better m560 or m567? Clearly a lot of difference as my m567 has ceramic sealed bearing jockey wheels with white text like xt m735 and m560 just got standard jocky wheels but has other stuff going on like chamferd cage and adjustable torsion on parallelagram.
Hey, my pulleys are worn out, and I'd like to replace them. Original puleys for M567 are not available oc. What should I replace them with today? Original are 10 teeth, and for 8 speed chain. The smallest modern, let's say (Altus and Acera are the highest 8 speed groups), are 11 teeth, and I suppose, they will not fit into the cage...
that is a good workhorse derailleur. thanks for the demonstration.
True

Top o vídeo. Esse câmbio pode ser usado 9v com cassete de 32 cogs?
That’ll work if you change to 9 speed pulleys

I recommend BBB sealed bearing ones or you could try and find them off a parts derailleur
great video whens a new video coming out
Soon
How long do you run the parts cleaner. Mine has a timer but maxes out at 10 minutes
That’s strange never seen one go that low It usually takes an hour or two don’t let it get too hot it could damage the finish
@@RetroRebuilds alright! Thanks for the response
What's ultrasonic cleaner do you use, and what cleaners do you put in it?
I use an old industrial one, a good one is above 50 bucks all I use is dish soap
