Collarbone Surgery Day at Montréal CHUM Hospital

This is what a Collarbone surgery day looks like... I went to the Montreal CHUM hospital which is downtown Montréal's bright new Canadian Healthcare centre.
Not only was I surprised at how much time collarbone surgery took, I was also surprised at what the post operation pain levels were! Pleasantly, actually! I had a plate made by the company Stryker, who is a leader in orthopaedic surgery implants, tools and materials, drilled into the fractured distal third of my clavicle.
I added a new lesson to my book of surgery day tips, which is to make sure there is a name you can give to the hospital of someone who will pick you up after being under general anaesthesia and in the operating room. Otherwise, the ship you're right back out before the operation even happens! Thank you so much to the people that are helping me get better…
