    It's really refreshing actually hearing a real person talk about this instead of some board of doctors who just push the notion that all of it is safe while taking your money for the procedure and not offering to do an MRI instead, which is safer. Thank you for sharing your experience. Hoping all is well with you today

    Hello. Im so glad i found this video because im literally on the same boat. I really identify with the thinking cycle part that you explained. I think that i get over an illness i made myself believe i have. Then 2 days later, i think i have another illness or disease. Brain tumor is also my biggest fear, every time i forget something or i am clumsy, i automatically think there is something wrong in my brain. I got a ct scan in January of this year. Although it came out clean, i get thoughts of oh it probably didn't scan right or, maybe its real this time, it was just too small when they took the scan. Im battling all day everyday with my health anxiety, its really exhausting. Thank you for your videos, they help so much.

    I can't believe you made this video because I've been going through this exact same thing this week I've had several x-rays and CT scans in the past 5 years and have to go for more now and I am making myself sick to my stomach watching video after video of doctors talking about the side effects. It really is not good but if you have something wrong you have to have it checked out but I guess you can't stress about it because there are so many other big problems in the world right now that the world might not even be here in a few years to even worry about that! But absolutely feel exactly like you and there are moments I will stress about it and moments I will try not to think about it but I've had way more than you so don't feel so bad

    Radiologists usually minimize the dangers of radiation in CT scans.
    But there is no amount of ionized radiation that is safe for the body. And radiation expose is cumulating, from what I understand.
    The effect of several CTs will like not show up in the short run.

I have to have regularly MRI scans on my brain due to a condition I have on my brain (every 12-24 months, if I start getting symptoms which may be brain cancer, I would get scanned as soon as possible) it is not cancerous, the lump spot has got smaller over the years, I would have not known about a possible problem on my brain when I was eight going for a eye-test, I am quite surprise that the problem was not picked up earlier, as I had regularly eye tests and because of my condition had to go the children hospital every year with my dad (up to the age of 16)

    I am an hypochondriac person . I studied about radiation from Google ..
    Risk of cancer because of ct scan ..is based on LNT model ..
    (In which researchers plotted a graph showing liners relationship between radiation dose and cancer risk ..as radiation doses increase cance risk increases further ..this model is based on assumption that there is no safe amount of radiation ...
    Cancer among nuclear bomb survivors is more because of radiation (but the intensity or the amount of radiation received by them are way to higher than what we receive in ct scan ).
    In Ramada Iran ..people receive radiation ..from background but there is no increase in risk ...
    So it is clear that ... radiation causes cancer ..but only when radiation is too high ...
    Amount of radiation received in ct scan (10 ct scan ) ...cannot cause cancer

    Yes indeed.... radiation anxiety after ct scans is a real and frightening thing....I just had 2 ct scans in approximately 3 months....the first was either a whole body scan or a chest and torso and the second 2 days ago was a head scan....I believe the first one may have been quite a high dose....it revealed blood clots in both of my lungs for which iam being treated with blood thinners....therefore I have a higher risk of a brain bleed after head injury....the second scan was to check for this after a fall and head bump....it was 36 hours after the injury and i felt okay but the junior doctor i saw was being over cautious perhaps and recommended a ct.... previous doctor advised against after i was okay 12 hours after another earlier head bump.... so I reluctantly agreed to the scan.... I bitterly regret this now....I wish I had refused....
    apparently I received 2.44 mSv of radiation this time.... cumulatively I'm not sure....but it must be equivalent to several years of background radiation over the 3 months....I currently have severe anxiety and feel that I may have badly compromised my future health by my decision to accept the scan when my symptoms were okay.... thankfully I had no brain bleed.... Iam finding it difficult to eat and feel nauseous with worry and regret....I know people have many more scans but my anxiety remains....

    Same issues here, just had a CT scan of blood vessels. I'm going to look into vitamin infusion therapy to offset the mild radiation.

      After a radiographic, fluoroscopic, CT, ultrasound, or MRI exam, no radiation remains in your body. For nuclear medicine imaging, a small amount of radiation can stay in the body for a short time. therefore vitamin c means nothing to alleviate because it has passed through you. Another thing is radiation sickness but it gets if you are inside an atomic bomb or power plant explosion where is 500 - 100 000 msv. But then no vitamin will help :)

    If you got CTs or MRIs with contrast and had all the symptoms you had and your doctor calls them “anxiety symptoms” they are not: they are symptoms of heavy metal toxicity and your doctor will not recognize this shit and will just say it’s caused by “anxiety.” My anxiety symptoms are not “anxiety” they are due to heavy metal toxicity after doing an MRI with gadolinium contrast which is said to be “safe” but no one ever tests for retention until now and everyone retains it and they manifest as crazy symptoms.

    Please look into CBT (Cognitive Behavior Therapy) the good news is that it’s not how we are destined to be. Your brain remembers how to panic after a while and so it gets hard wired to think in certain patterns. The good news is that CBT helps us to rewire the brain to think in more positive patterns. Also that and acupuncture kinda resets the nervous system. I’m currently suffering from health anxiety and I’m looking into both. Love your videos! Also my faith in God helps to keep me positive. 🙂

    I listening to you as if I were looking at myself. Ironically, due to my fear of a serious illness, I ended up in a very strong CT, which of course did not find anything. So I listened doctor who guided me through the search for the cause of my pain. Although one doctor told me it was anxiety but he is not an expert in the field. Of course the brain is still digging and telling me to go anyway and make sure it’s not something dangerous. Fortunately, it was not. But now anxiety and hypochondria do not give me months of peace because I think I will get something like cancer from ct because it was quite strong and in a large area. But as the brain continues to dig, in the end there are more articles on the internet and evidence that ct is not as scary as those numbers sound and it is impossible to prove that cancer just came from ct or genes, bad life habits and more. I read a study where a large number of children aged 0-19 were observed to have cancer for several years and eventually the non-irradiated group had a higher percentage of cancer than the irradiated group. And here we are talking about children who are much more susceptible to radiation than adults because their immune system and cells are still developing. It’s a little strange that no more research has been conducted in these 50 years as there is ct, but that’s probably because the risk is so small and it can’t be proven whether it came from ct either naturally or both at once. In the end it all depends on the genes and lifestyle again because even if the bottoms of the cells have mutated, it doesn’t necessarily mean it will turn into cancer for the rest of your life if you live a healthy life. Of course I can, but again the percentage is higher if you try to live healthier.

    I am a physician and I almost always order MRI's, Sonograms, and plain Xrays for my patients instead of CT scans to limit radiation exposure. For the brain imaging, MRI is superior to CT in term of resolution and image quality. There are only a few instances that a CT scan is really necessary.

    • @kevOzilla
      @kevOzilla Год назад

      The issue is ct scans are cheap and mri is very expensive that insurances don't want to pay for especially in usa docs here have to prove the patient needs the mri or the patient pays out of pocket

    • @trungson6604
      @trungson6604 Год назад

      @@kevOzilla -- Good point. In my experience, the insurance companies often asked for medical records and sometimes talked to the doctor about medical necessity. With proper documentation and supportive evidences and diagnoses, the insurance companies approved the MRI requests for the vast majority of the time. They don't even suggest to use CT scan as a cheaper option. Once they are convinced of the medical necessity of the MRI, they will approve it.

    Lord God, in the Name of Jesus, I pray for each person concerned by these matters. As Creator, You alone, are our source of Life and are able to keep us. I ask for healing and protection for each person struggling in this area. I speak life to their bodies and minds. May Your peace that passes all understanding guard them and may they taste and see Your goodness towards them (us) in that by the stripes Jesus took upon Himself for us at the cross, we are healed. That by laying down His life to pay our debt for sin, we can be saved, healed, and delivered. Thank You Father! Again, I pray and ask these things in the Name above all names, including radiation, and any disease or symptom that can be described, I ask this in the Name of Jesus the Christ, the True King and for His Glory. Amen! Amen!

    im stressed about this too. i have had 2 ct scans of my head over the course of about 6 months. but it was head and neck so I'm even worried that its technically 4 and therefore much more radiation. i am very concerned about the long term effects this will have on me and i do have bad health anxiety. i try to eat healthy and exercise but its always in the back of my head that something bad will come of this. i am a Christian and i pray that God will bless my health and mitigate any negative effects from these scans. but of course its still hard to put it completely out of my mind so hopefully as time goes on I will simply forget the concerns of this.
    Also on the bright side! Although the consensus seems to be that there is a risk involved with these scans, the evidence is that they are relatively safe and if it were basically a death sentence then people would be collapsing left and right. But many people receive handfuls of scans and live on just fine. I will pray for you anyway because I know what it's like to worry. Our lives are in Jesus's hands.

    Some people get ct scans a few times within a day and even within a week if you’ve had some on your brain and even had a couple that should be okay, there’s lot of ways you can also counter act long affect of ct scans causing cancer, in your body or brain MCT oils are good CBD is good eating avocados and kelp, tumeric, cinnamon, ginger is all really good I’ve had a few ct scans and this is my regular diet this stuff kills cancer so I make sure I have a little bit everyday it’s really rare that you get cancer unless you’ve gotten like 20 of these scans and or it runs in your family and there’s stuff now you can take and eat to prevent it, I was worried when I got scans too, but there’s no other way of seeing the brain without one unfortunately
