The steam oven has been trending for years in China already. So many models to choose from on Taobao, Tianmao, or JD.. I like to share a few of my experience with you guys. 1. Counter top model is a good starter. Try it out before you invest the big bucks. One caveat, since the counter top models vent the steam through its sides and back, in other word, he steam will ruin your cabinets if the oven is place in a confined location. Most of the counter top models have the water tanks inside oven door to the side, this mean the usable volume inside the oven is few inches less the outer appearance. As far as volume goes, I would not buy anything less than 32 Liter (3.4 Quarts). I wanted to steam a healthy a 3 lb whole fish from time to time. My 32 liter counter top model did not have the width to accommodate a 3 lb. sanddab (which is delicious). 2. The reviewed model has a strange design. With a control knobs located on the right side, the cooking volume (width) seem inadequate. I would buy one with the control and water tanks locate above the oven door. 3. If your are serious about steam cooking, you should move up to a built-in steam oven. With that said, I designed my kitchen with the 2-stack oven oven set up. The top one being the steam oven and bottom being the conventional oven. 4. I have also noticed that many steam ovens do not have bottom heating element. It has something do do with high power steam pooling condensation towards the bottom of the oven. In other word, a mid range built in steam oven will probably not replace your conventional oven thus having both is a better option. 5. As a side note., I believe that it's more efficient to run high wattage appliance (or power tools ) with 240V power supply. US 100V standard is as big a mistakes of not choosing the metric system. All household current should be on 240V instead of having to specifically wire the 240v for your Range Ovens, AC, and or electric Dryer. Those who plan on kitchen remodel should consider placing 240V outlets strategically around their kitchens (and house) . In conclusion, modern kitchen appliances do not replace one another. Examples include, Microwave, Toaster Oven, Steam Oven, Convention Oven, Air Fryer, and Instant Pot. When I remodel my kitchen, I made sure reserve proper placement locations for each.
I just purchased this and can’t wait to start using it. I don’t know if your interested, but I’d watch if you continue prepping, cooking and giving honest opinions on the meals you choose.
I git mine today. I read the black tray is not to be used with their meals but it was given to use with food you personally buy. I cant wait to try it.
When adding water to the reservoir the plastic ring around the water bottle fell into the reservoir. Afraid could damage the oven, cause a fire, or leak plastic into my food. Thanks!
$12 a meal... pretty ridiculous. Seems like a nice fancy idea if you’re a doctor or lawyer and never have time lol. I’ll stick to going to the grocery store and cooking my meals on a nice budget!
I received my oven on Friday and first 4 meals come Wednesday. Already used it for toast, baby back ribs and chicken wings using the Tovala chef recipes on the app. Great results! This is the real deal!
Peter von Panda 😱😱😱😱😱😱 I was really happy for a second because I thought I found lucky penny shop guy lol. Good video though. Can your review W Labs GE Smart Oven? June 2 Smart oven? And BRAVA? Looking to buy one soon
Looks like it would have been an informative video; but, I had to stop watching because the jerky camera movements were making me dizzy. I'll come back when you change your video capturing strategy . . .

I came to this video after an ad for tovala aired on tv and my cousin said “it’s a microwave.”
The meals are 12$ for like 450 calories so unless ur 5 ur gonna be hungry after just one. I have to est two to be full
450 calories is a normal meal unless you are a water buffalo
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart $12 a meal can go fuck itself
"Americans may be consuming more like 2,231 to 3,300 calories per day." See article: ("Livestrong, The Average American Daily Caloric Intake")
