8 - Wellpssssssssss
In September of 2009, one couple found their dream home in Rexburg, Idaho. It was a nice five-bedroom rural house, that was sold at around $100,000. Pretty good deal, right? Little did they know, this cozy little home was nicknamed by the locals as “the snake house.” Ben and Amber Sessions had no idea that the home they just bought was actually resting on top of a nest of garter snakes. The snakes are non-poisonous, but that doesn’t make the situation any less of a nightmare. Shortly after moving in, they noticed the snakes were all over the property. They weren’t just in the yard and under the house; they were literally in the house…...as in, in the walls!
What! There were motherf*cking snakes in the motherf*cking walls?!?! They could hear them slithering around in the house, and smell their pretty funky odor. Oh, and guess what else? They could taste them too! Amber Sessions described that their water tasted like how they smell. I know what you’re thinking, how could this actually happen? Didn’t they tour the home? Apparently, their real estate agent told them that the snake myth was made up by previous owners who didn’t want to pay their mortgage when they moved. He assured them that every precaution was taken to keep any snakes at bay.
The couple ended up signing paperwork to acknowledge that they were aware of the snake situation, under the impression that the stories about snakes weren’t true. The couple didn’t notice any signs of the snakes until a little while after they moved in. When Amber first saw snakes, she was assured by her agent that they’d be taken care of with traps. But, the problem only got worse. One day, they caught a total of 43 snakes. 43 snakes was apparently the breaking point and they knew they had to move. I would have stopped at 33 myself….... buuuutttt that’s just me.
So why exactly did this house have so many damn snakes? Rob Cavallaro, a wildlife biologist with the Idaho Department of Fish and Game, told the Associated Press the home may have been built on a den where the snakes gather in large numbers to hibernate in the winter. The Sessions abandoned the home in December of 2009, just three months after moving in.
7 - Another Internet Purchase
In February of 2017, a man purchased a foreclosed home in Bronx, New York for $200,000. He bought it through an auction on Realtor.com. The eight bedroom home, at 2700 Bainbridge Ave, wasn’t seen physically by the new homeowner before the purchase. He just went by the pictures on the website. Seriously, who does this?! What the f*ck?! When the buyer finally had an opportunity to tour the home, he discovered a frozen body inside. The body was found in a bedroom, and after examining it up close, he discovered there were bruises on the head and face.
Law enforcement couldn’t determine exactly how long the body had been there. They also couldn’t determine who the person was, because he had no identification on him. The only thing they could determine is that the victim looked to be in his 30s. Back in 2015, the home was under a mandatory vacate order. According to the Department of Buildings, the vacancy was because of apparent “illegal conversions,” which is when someone modifies a home to make an additional unit without getting approval.
Although the house was uninhabited since the order was given, a neighbor who lived across the street reported seeing homeless people go in and out of the house. He also saw drug use, but, because the homeless people never bothered anyone, the neighbors never felt the need to call the police. This is exactly what you get when you buy a house without actually looking in it!!
6 - That Old Spice
A family in Pennsylvania made a shocking discovery when they decided to renovate their home in 2012. The Bretzius family was adding some insulation to a room in the house that they bought in 2011, when they found that the walls were already insulated….…with animal carcasses. Dozens of them!

The owners kid's get life insurance money & 45,000. Some old bills might be worth more. Bet his wife left him after. Everything happens 4a reason, but guess he doesn't understand that concept

Bought a really cheap home once (12 grand) when I pulled back kitchen curtain......there was a tarantula sized spider sitting right on window. I about crapped my bridges......I was sooooo scared an thought they were going to be ALL over the home. Since no one had lived in it for months an people before had left windows open. Thank god that was the only HUGE one I found, there were big ones all around yard, grass..etc.

I wanted to make a clarification. Garter snakes are not venomous. The difference being if you bite it and you die, it's poisonous. If it bites you and you die, it's venomous. Otherwise great video.

for the first one on snakes i had a similar experience when i was about 7 or 8 i think, my dads friend owned a anaconda and it was huge.. it ended up getting lose and got lost some how in the walls the guy ended up moving out of the house without finding the anaconda so i can only imagine where it is or whos gonna find it

lord darmok My son and his wife wanted to skip out on an inspection because the house they were buying was new, but I insisted on an inspection. Thank God they did one. The entire underside of the house and all up the walls were covered with black mold. There was a MAJOR drainage problem. They stopped the sale.

I was helping a family member rip out some carpet in an 18th century built home where we found coins under the old carpet. He let me keep one and I had it professionally cleaned and preserved. It is an actual brass presidential coin with President John Adams. I did research and it turns out this is the real deal. I seen remakes of this coin and they made slight modifications to the reproductive coin and my coin has all the symptoms of the real coin. Never had it appraised but I did ask a coin professional who told me the coin has no materialistic value (brass) but I may find a collector who wants or needs this coin for their collection. and he said no telling what he or she would pay to have it.. so I currently have the coin and keeping my eyes and ears open.

But I know that in the back of my mind that either I won't be able to stay, or I'd have to ask someone what I should do if I still wanted to live in the house, but did not want to have snakes living with me, because it would be a bit irritating and some guests would be a bit freaked out.
