I TRIPLE DOG DARE YOU TO DO 'IT'S SO EASY' ... It was the first video recorded and released from their debut album... Before 'Welcome to the Jungle'... It's probably the rawest GNR 'origina'l song they ever recorded. I recommend the lyrics if you really wanna enjoy the full experience. 🤘
@@manbearpig7359 considering that nobody grasped the meaning behind that song when it was released and it aged even worse... It would do more damage than good. If you'd said the cover of "Ain't It Fun..." From Spaghetti Incident I would've agreed. 🤘
Axl had a childhood so traumatic his other career option was serial killer, and the rest of the band basically had a life problem interfering with living their drugs. It's a miracle everyone on that stage is still alive.
Duff McKagan is one of the best bassists of this era, and he's greatly overshadowed thanks to Axl and Slash lol. As a bassist, this is one of my favorite GNR songs.
Rocket Queen Live in Tokyo 1992 is the best live performance of this song without doubt but on the other hand the album version is best as it has certain sounds that make the song iconic.
Yes, they all had addictions. Axl got his under control fairly quickly but the others had them throughout their gnr career. Adler got kicked out shortly after this cuz his usage got in the way of his playing. Duff (the other blonde) had more of an alcohol addiction than the other. Slash was heavy into both...he OD'd several times. Everyone got clean and sober by the late 90s/early 2000s.
Check out this song live in Tokyo, the absolute best version and the whole concert was just awesome. “Don't Cry”, ‘Nightrain’, ‘November Rain’ ‘You Could Be Mine’ ‘Estrange’ ‘Bad Obsession’ (with harmonica) and more. Also definitely worth seeing “Knocking on Heaven's Doors Tribute, Freddie Mercury - Wembley, 1992” “Civil War” live Paris, (unfortunately very appropriate again in terms of lyrics at this time) GNR were so good live at this time and they had incredible backing singers. The energy at their concerts was incredible.
For 37 years now I have loved this album, my favourite of all time. Then this song came on last on side B, and I couldn’t get enough. Still my fave to this day.
As a smoker myself all I can say it's the music and energy from the crowd that keeps ya going. if you feel the music on the inside it's easier to keep playing and going song after song. But not everybody can feel the music in their soul when performing or listening to it.
That’s the correct answer, when you’re in love with your own music, and people are in love with your own music, that’s all you need to keep it going! 🤘🏻
the bass player who looks like the drummer is Duff McKagen, one of the best bass players around. The brunette is Izzy Stradlin, no I ain't kindin. Now to really blow your mind, on the album version of this song, Axl had sex with Steven's girlfriend in the recording studio and not only recorded it but included it in part of this song LMAO. Oh and the stamina part is most likely either coke or Heroin.
Yes the drummer is Steve ( popcorn) adler and the other blonde guy in the bass is Duff mckagan and for the other dude on the rhythm guitar Izzy Stradlin the soul of the band. The whole concert is a ripper (a must watch).
I was a young kid when this came out and god damn my life turned on fire with GNR, it gave my life and energy to be strong and bold enough to survive the hard times.
so the drummer in this video is Steven Adler then it changed to Matt Sorum, bassist Duff McKagan, Izzy Stadlin rhythm guitarist, Axel Rose lead singer, Dizzy Read keyboardist, slash lead guitarist
Just to clarify, his name is Axl Rose (no 'e' in Axl). Dizzy Reed & Matt Sorum were not a part of the classic line-up, which are in this video. The line-ups changed before & after the classic line-up.
@@GoEqBro, I am a huge GnR fan. While the classic line-up will always be extra special for me, I love all of GnR's line-ups. I think they are all awesome :)
Steven Adler was fired from the band because he had a herion addiction. The song from Skid Row "Wasted Times" is about Steven. Sabashtan was good friend's with Steven and wrote the song. That is why he is so emotional in the video.
I believe this was their first TV performance. I used to watch this full concert over and over again. edit: he was getting feedback through the concert and was looking to that side of the stage like 'wtf fix it'. But that side of the stage was the lighting guys or somethin so they didn't know what was going on. And then at the end he fired the mic at em cuz he was pissed.
Speaking as a drummer, when performing rock/metal live, you get superhuman stamina as you feed off of the crowd's energy. After shows I would be drenched and exhausted, but didn't feel it all when performing, only when that crowd energy fades.
Yes. They were on rugs. They were the definition of “Sex drugs & Rock-N-Roll.” If you’re interested in more Guns N’ Roses, and if you haven’t seen it yet, then I highly recommend their music video “Estranged.” It’s a really good song to end the day with. Cool reaction btw.
Steven Adler was in the band until 1990. After GnR Lies Tour, Matt Sorum took over... amazing drummer, but i miss the feeling from the early days with Steven. Steven was heroinaddicted, and actually died 2 times, but Duff waked him up with adrenaline-injections :)
Steven Adler is the drummer. He got fired for excess drug use, and later had a drug induced stroke that messed him up bad, the bassist is Duff McKagen, who suffered a serious internal organ explosion from drinking way too much. The rhythm guitarist is Izzy Stradlen, who quit when the band became too mainstream, and who was one of the key song writers of the band. For Slash and Axl, Slash always wanted Axl as his front man, and the two had a very strong chemistry for a long time. Axl has always been known for his hot head. He beat up a paparazzi guy not too long ago, and dove into the audience to beat up a fan illegally recording a performance once upon a time.
Anyone, who wore out this cassette (if you had cd) Appetite for Destruction in the 80's? In my opinion one of the greatest albums ever. Then again that album got them into the (so called) Rock N' Roll Hall of Fame.
That's Duff McKagan on the Bass - doesn't get anywhere near the amount of Love he deserves in my humble opinion because of the long shadow cast by Slash - but his Bass lines were a big, big part of their sound. As for the smoking/athleticism I am mindful of two things - one, a French Rugby Union Fullback/Winger who represented France nearly a hundred times called Serge Blanco who ran like a Gazelle pursued by a Cheetah - & smoked forty un-filtered Gauloises a day. & two, Cocaine is a hell of a drug. Love your stuff, keep up the good work. Love & Kisses from the UK.
3:03 you can see slash looks around confused, Axl had a whole verse and disappeared out of no where. Slash shrugs and keeps going 😂 then Axl comes back out with a cigarette lmao
Check out Paradise City from that same show at the Ritz. Axl stage dives into the crowd and you could see how much security really didn't appreciate the work it took to earn their pay by dragging Axl back to the safety of the stage. Axl just dove out there like they were still a small club band but they were most definitely already the hottest rick band in the game. Definitely too big of a deal for Axl to be diving into the crowd. It takes awhile for security to even get to Axl and then it's a tug of war with security pulling a l by his limbs while the audience is pulling Axl mostly y his hair but also whatever skin they can get their finger nails into to establish a solid grip its hilarious. For his part, Axl looksine a child that fell into the pool, reaching for security. Then once he's safe on stage again, he goes right back into head banging and screeching but you can see him doing subtle checks of where his skin just got ripped into by folks fingernails. It's this exact same show, and I think your assumption of chemicals being involved is a safe bet if you want to see a video where drugs absolutely are the culprit check out Sweet Child Of Mibe in Tokyo, Japan. Axl was on some good shit. I want a box of whatever he was on. He's so high during that performance you get a contact high just watching him. What I find funny about it is it's the worst I've ever heard Axl sound. Vocally it's not good, chemically sabotaged. But you can just tell watching Axl, in his mind, in that moment, he is sure that he's having the best on stage performance of his life. Idi e to see his bubble burst when he watched it back and realized his drugs were just really really very good. So he felt like he was killing it,,but for him it was comically bad.

There is also something that's already in the body that is almost the same as nicotine, it's called acetylcholine, that's why humans (and some animals also) or so receptive of nicotine.
Amazing what twenty dollars and a bottle of Jack can buy back then 😂 I even have credit on this album but they used an Italian slur for my last name funny I'm french. Hate that in this version Axl doesn't sing that end part that brings the whole song together. Such an impressive high note that he does sing in the Tokyo 1992 version. In that he also raps
I think people wanted you to react to the album version. Lets just say, it has some unique surprises. Doesn't even anyone even care about the first guitarist? Traci Gunn's hence the name Gunn's and Roses but oh well I was just an assistant back then lmao
Hate that in this version Axl doesn't sing that end part that brings the whole song together. Such an impressive high note that he does sing in the Tokyo 1992 version. In that he also raps
I think people wanted you to react to the album version. Lets just say, it has some unique surprises. In this video Axl was being typical Axl and stormed off set and skipped the 2nd verse all together. Thats why Slash went backstage. To find out what the hell he was doing. Definetly neec to react to the album version.
If you’ve not already reacted to it. You need to watch G’n’R covering Bohemian Rhapsody at the Freddy Mercury tribute concert
small correction...they didn't cover bohemian rhapsody, only axl was invited to sing it with elton john. queen members were playing the instruments
ww2 solder all smoked and had the stamina to beat the nazis and japan
