Who's ready for open water!
Awesome video! Great action!!!
Thank you!
Thanks for all the great information shared on your channel. I just found your site when doing a RUclips search on “using a LiveScope ice bundle in a boat”. After watching the video “Don’t make the same mistake that I did”. I Subscribed to the channel and watched several more of your videos.
Question, how hard would it be to make the 2D sonar more portable and not always attached to the boat? I would like to be able to easily move it from my boat to kayak and to ice.
Thanks
Super easy to make a 2d one for a kayak. Do an Amazon search for boat sonar mount and there's a few options. I made my first one out a 2x4
Going to be moving not far from this lake in a few months. Doable to troll the deeper end of drop offs with a yak and fly rod? I’d have a depth finder and that’s it technology wise
Should add I have sinking fly line on
Sinking fly line should be fine earlier in the year
@@BendItFishing thank you! Tight lines
Np 😁
Seemed like big Sebago Lakers. You think not having ice helps the fishing in the spring?
Any safety or equipment tips when going open water fishing on big water in February?
We usually catch most in the 25 inch plus range with a few small ones mixed in. I think not having ice is gonna make the spring fishing great!! As far as safety. Don't go alone and where a life jacket. And also where your boat kill switch leash
I'm only posting this here because it's your latest video. As a former fresh and saltwater fly fishing guide from Massachusetts for over 30 years, it's killing me to watch you get your line back on your reel when you hook into a fish. PLEASE...try looping the line where it comes off the reel onto your pinkie, while holding the line going through the guides from peeling off with your index finger, like you already are. The line will go back onto the reel tighter and you don't have to focus on the tangling. If the fish really starts tugging, then let up with your index finger and let them take some slack but doing it this way will make your life much easier, I promise.
I'll try
What a calm day. Looked like fun.
Not bad for the beginning of February
@@BendItFishing I’m pumped. I’m getting the boat out of storage next week. I have been tying streamers up for salmon and ordering too much stuff.
Is the salmon bite on ? Have you seen and bait balls in the lake?
It looks to be on, I haven't fished it since the season opened
I'm going to be targeting lake trout for the first time this spring, I didn't realize they'd be that deep with the colder water being closer to the surface? Been reading about lakers and was under the impression the deep 100+ foot holes was a summer thing?
It's also a winter thing the water is actually warmer at the bottom at 39 degrees. Also that's where the bait likes to be. But Lakers can be anywhere
do you have a mono leader? Looks like you have braid
Braid to fluro leader
LFG 💯
Yessah!
How deep and what part of sebago were u fishing
100 to 140 ft holes. We fished in parts of Jordan and south bay
I can't get enough of your incredible talent.
Thank you!
