      @@TopTennisTrainingOfficial Hi Simon, thanks for the reply :)
      I was thinking if you can give us some tips on how to improve accuracy and consistency of the shots. Also, a good topic might be what type of injuries you can experience and how to prevent them. I have badly sprained my ankle 5 years ago. It's all good now, by my left ankle will have only 2 good ligaments for the rest of my life.

    Hi Guys, Great lesson. In the states, the USTA and PTR have a lesson sequence called green light, yellow light, red light - the court divided into 3 segments from baseline to net (in order stated). Green light area - baseline to 2-3 ft. into court (attack area); yellow light area (get out of this area either back or preferably go into the red area (1/2 way from service line to net) - that's your kill area. I'll use this in my games + with my students. JS

    • @TopTennisTrainingOfficial
      @TopTennisTrainingOfficial  4 года назад +3

      Thank you for watching
      I would assume it reduces power slightly since you stop the string bed moving as much, but I think it would be minimal.
      You'll decrease mainly the feel of the ball with a dampener, that's why most pros don't use them

    Awesome video. One thing that struck me was the net clearance. I was expecting something lower on grass. Is it because of the educational nature of the video (to slow down the rallies) or is it representative of a real game at that kind of level you guys play?

    • @TopTennisTrainingOfficial
      @TopTennisTrainingOfficial  4 года назад +2

      A lot would depend on the surface and opponent, normally we’d hit lower on grass and higher on hard or clay 👍

    • @ncournault
      @ncournault 4 года назад

      @@TopTennisTrainingOfficial thank you for the reply. So one can assume the net clearance shown in the video is one we could typically expect from players your level on grass during a competitive match?

    • @TopTennisTrainingOfficial
      @TopTennisTrainingOfficial  4 года назад

      The height will change depending on the situation, if you're attacking and inside the court, you tend to hit lower with less spin, when defending you tend to hit higher with higher levels of topspin, when in a neutral position you can do either option

      Well Simon , I have got a big serve , generate a lot of pace on my own , I’m pretty much a serve and volley player ( rare breed these days 🤓) ..but I have been having arm issues on and off only during play and interesting no pain while not playing ..so not sure if there is anything wrong I’m doing on the court ..that’s frustrating me big time and these days because on the court when pain creeps in , I can’t serve/hit to my potential anymore and mentally I switch off ..badly looking out for the right Racquet spec which will not allow me to compromise on my playing style inspite of my arm issues ..just not able to figure ..I end up using a Racquet (305gm strung ) for serve game and 325gm for receiving ..so I switch racquets between games 🤦🏻‍♂️..which is kinda helping but still ..not sure for arm issues should I keep the racquet weight high or low ..

      @@TopTennisTrainingOfficial just use a tripod please and never fall into using such cheap "special effects" for goodness sake.
      It doesn't matter how fancy you're dressed in tennis. Your game should be constructed the right way and be optimal.
      Same when you're filming. No need for extra effects or smth. Quality camera+lens(es), quality mics, quality post-work. And a bright mind to use it all the right and optimal way.
      Like we learn from top players, your cameraman and director could try watching some ESPN films and such. If your channel tries to grow towards those in quality.
