I've just tuned 40 and was sitting at 255 lbs. I started walking 10,000 steps a day on January 30th. I have added light weights three times a week, a kettle ball routine twice a week and I jog on the weekends. It's March 13 & my current weight is 235. I have also changed my diet to a more nutritional one usually getting in around 1600 to 1800 calories, while still enjoying my occasional craving. I also keep an eye on my macros. This can be done if you dedicate to it. Thank you so much for the videos and advice.

At the beginning of my journey, I lost 7 pounds, and then went into a month long ‘plateau’ and quit for like a month. I then went to a dietician for a keto type diet because I was convinced I was insulin resistant. Although I lost weight while I was seeing them, the most important thing I learned at the dietician was that, if I actually tracked my calories while I was keto, the weeks I never lost weight, were the weeks I was over eating and not in a deficit. Needless to say I quit the dietician and have lost 6 pounds since then while eating all the carbs.
Long story short: Calorie deficit #sortinghatsquad :)

Hey Jordan! This has seriously come at the best time. Since stumbling on to your channel back in October, I have spent the last few months just tracking and getting my head in the game. Not consistent in calorie deficit, but I needed to work on my head first. I'm now tracking everything (not just the good stuff) and despite a minor wobble where I signed up to a shake diet (facepalm...) I'm finally in a position where consistent calorie deficit is something I can do without my head trying to sabotage. I'm mostly CD now, just with a few Christmas celebrations that, for one, I'm enjoying and NOT beating myself up for - they were conscious decisions I've made. I've also not gone over my CD on days where I had celebrations - I just made the choice not to indulge those days - I've NEVER done that before, I've always treated Christmas as a big free-for-all. I've committed to the next 90 days post Christmas (literally have the Harry Potter 2020 calendar on the wall for those circles and x's) and can't wait to share how I go with you. Thank you so much for your no-nonsense (and also much nonsense!) approach and finally giving me back the confidence that I'm not a special butterfly, I just need to stick to it and it will come. Again, thank you. #sortinghatsquad

Appetite is is usually mistaken for hunger.
Because we have so much food available 24 hours a day, we never allow our stomachs to completely empty and then we eat when it’s “meal” time instead of when our bodies are ready for more food.
I can ALWAYS tell I’m in a calorie deficit, because the first day or so I actually hear my stomach growl and that’s something that NEVER happens without me making an effort to curb my calorie intake.
    Love you.

Thank you for all you do. I stopped solely using my scale weight as my success indicator after watching your Big Mac challenge video when it came out. I now use the way I feel and how my clothes fit and my scale anxiety has stopped! This video has been even more helpful. Thanks Jordan! 😘 #sortinghatsquad

I’ve done a lot of exploring around macros/nutrition and you are legit the first person to say hey, if you’re goal is fat loss you’ll be hungry and that’s okay! The honesty is so appreciated!!! Love all your content! Thanks for sharing.

Eat one half a piece of steamed fish. Add some lemon pepper for taste. 3 boiled eggs and 1 cup each of broccoli and cauliflower steamed everyday. And only this with water you will be in deficit. Especially if you only eat this between 1 and 7 p.m. don't forget to take multivitamins. Just heads up. You will get cold so get a hoodie

    Hi Jordan,
After watching your videos, using calorie tracker I have lost 32.4lbs in 2/3 months. Every day I have had a big ass salad, never been hungry and a snack size chocolate bar, or a chocolate mousse for dessert after my evening meal so fuck the haters!
I honestly cannot thank you enough, without you I would've worried every time scales stayed the same or went slightly up. fact you give this advice away for nothing is so good!

Jordan (or anyone reading) i’m following a calorie deficit for fat loss, and was wondering, what are some solutions for 1. not feeling fatigued, as i do notice a huge drop in my energy.. but 2. being able to fall asleep at night. i’m able to handle hunger feelings and can also control my moods quite well, i’d be lying if i said caffeine wasn’t an aid in the mood elevation, but then at night my body refuses to sleep because i’m guessing it’s primal and wants to go out and hunt??? not sure, won’t pretend i know for sure, but if anyone has tips help a girl out!

#sortinghatsquad the patience reminder is much needed this morning. I’m so close to where I want to be and the last little bit can be so frustrating. Taking a breath and finding a little more patience.

Jordan another amazing video!! I loved how you pointed out the scale is not the only thing to determine fat loss!!! I am reverse dieting to increase my metabolism from years of binge/restrict behaviors and while i have maintained my weight, i am much leaner and stronger! Thank you for all you do! #sortinghatsquad
