    Killer riff & tones bro
I’ll never sell my 8100, l love their simplicity, set it and forget it type amps, boost mine with the boss sd1 and just play! 🤘

I love these valvestate heads and videos, I wish I could find a video with all them , comparing the, 8100, 8200 bi chorus, the vs100, and the avt150.

They all sound killer, but the grittier ones are my favorite. I like when he finds those super gnarly sounds. I think the Metal Zone with the 8100 valvestate was my favorite out of these

Man you have such a kick ass amp collection. I know Randall is you're favorite (they're mine too), but its so cool to mix these amps and stompboxes together and get killer sounds in a wall of sound (Marshalls are good too, I'm kicking myself for missing out on the Valvestates earlier on). I can only imagine what your live rig must sound like in person from the pit. You are a damn good guitarist and your riffs stomp. Not only that but you're good at mixing and recording dude. You're good at locking in a quality sound and you're good at finding a scooped rhythm tone and blending it with a brighter, warmer lead. I like your sounds man. I hope you get to play Blue Ridge Rock Festival one day with your band, I'd love to see you live at a metal festival near me.

I used to have an 8100 head and matching cab. I miss that thing. I got lucky and found a vs65 combo made in the U.K.

I agree and I think he is a good guitarist but could also make a good record producer and sound engineer. He's just so good at finding that fucking gnarly mean sound.

Amazing video… Finally get the truth on the Vs100 vs 8100 debate. I’ve had several vs100’s over the years and every one I played always felt too compressed compared how I imagined an 8100 playing… The grit you hear on classics like the sound of perseverance are clearly 8100s.

I wonder about that one too, the built in chorus from amps of this era are killer!

Tone on each test is amazing. I personally like the Metal Zone , I think the tightness and cut is amazing. Was the pq3 in the loop ?

On it's own the 8100 sounded the best to me, but with the pq3 the vs100 came real close.

I agree for this style of music the 8100 on it's own really worked. It's really crazy how different amps work just by changing tuning because for the crowbar tone video the VS100 with the boost sounded mean as fuck
