    I usually throw a changeling on the watch tower.. free unit, can escape some attack because of the change of race, doesnt responds to f2

    According to your question:
    Queens on one hotkey should always focus the prism, roaches should be splitted in small groups in each base to prevent adept multiprong attacks. If you see the opponent goes with focused main army then you grab all your roaches and focus them in one place. First attack of adepts you always focus on shades because they landing on workers so the lost workers must be equal to lost adepts. Second base shade you focus on adepts because you will lose workers anyway but when opponent finish his shade then he is trapped because you can always moveback your roaches and finish him. After first failed attack of adepts you should be ahead. Point is to scout two things: adepts and twilight council. Generally there are three scouting things which you need to know. 1st is near 1-2 min of game if opponent cannonrushing you or go macro game. 2nd thing is which is 2 base allins like adept all in, zealot all in, dt all in (this is scouted mainly by many gates+twilight council), voidray all in, phoenix all in etc. All ins need to be defended at 50 drones and with constant scout if opponent don't start macro switch (which is signalized by taken 3rd base and putting there probes). If opponent not all-in they you scout third technology after finishing your lair usually after grabbing 44 workers (full 2 base saturation). You send your overlord to opponent base near 5-6:30 min of game. You will see main technology. Response on that technology should win you game. Opponent on 2-3 bases can choose just two technology tree lines never three. So it can be: 1.templar/twilight council tech+gate units, 2.templars+stargate units, 3.templars+robo units, 4.robobay+gateway units, 5.robobay+stargate units, 6.robobay+robo units, 7.fleatbeacon+gate units, 8.fleatbeacon+robo units, 9.fleatbeacon+stargate units or 10.unupgraded gateway+robo+stargate units. Now you must choose your technology according to this picks to be most efficient and remember that always opponent will upgrade next technology of his treeline after setup 4th base. So we preparing for this. There are responses:
    1. roach+ling->Swarmhost+roach+ling-> ultra. 2. queen+roach-> hydra+roach+infestors -> lurker+hydra+infestors. 3. ling+roach+ravager -> ->ling+roach+corruptor+viper->ultra+ling+corruptor+viper. ->roach+ling+corruptor+broodlord 4. ling+ravager->Mutalisk+ling+roach+ravager ->ling+roach+broodlord 5.ling+roach+queen->ling+roach+corrupor
    6. mass mutalisk+lings+banes->mass broodlord+lings 7. queens+roaches+spores->hydra+queen+roach 3 base push 8.queens+spores+roaches+lings-> roaches+lings+corruptors. 9. mass queens and spores-> spores + mass corruptors + vipers + 4-6 broodlords 10. roach+queens->hydralisk+lurkers->lurkers+broodlords+corruptors+vipers

      same here. Has been my weakest matchup since WoL beta, now i can basically lose to P when they are 700 MMR below me, easily. Completely clueless.

    Only at the end of first game had I realised it has been only 13 minutes.... Hell, that would take me 20 mins to play out at least

    I know you talked about it towards the end of this video, but have you tried 2-base hydra timing attacks against Protoss? uThermal had some videos on them to great success, and I've had success as well in diamond league (although GM might be different). You mentioned concern about mass adept countering, but I'm not so sure, especially if they aren't expecting it from you. It counters pretty much all gateway units and even if they go Skytoss. You can time it to hit between 6-7 minutes with speed/range and +1/+1 upgrades. The only thing it's weak against is if they sneak out a couple robo units like collossus or disruptor, but even then it's not terrible since you have so many hydras, then can always tech up to viper and adjust accordingly.
    Just a thought if you ever wanted to try it out on the new patch and take a break from your traditional macro games, especially since hydra upgrades are faster/cheaper.
    It seems to work better against Protoss, but even with Terran it's pretty effective at neutralizing the new cyclone rush, especially if you put up a couple spine crawlers for defense on 2-base when the cyclones hit around 5 minutes. Following up with hydras usually wins the game. The only trouble I have against Terran is if they are turtling with tanks by the time the push hits.
    PS - keep up the great content! I love the health/mindset advice tied in with calm logical instruction to help folks like myself learn the game better.

    I always die to the 1 of 500 two base all in variants.
    I find the 35 worker chargelot all in particularly difficult to scout and respond to correctly.
    What advise could you give a D2 zerg to survive protoss in the early to mid game?

      3:30 make evo+roach Warren, take your lair, 2 more gasses, overseer scout to see if they are making zealots and moving out. If so you oump rosches forever

    I always had problems with building anti-air as zerg. Hydra is too squishy and Corruptor just feels underwhelming. So I guess pressuring your opponent into playing ground units is the only way to go around it

    In game 2, at what point do you get upgrades from the Evo chambers an which ones do you get

    I pretty much do the same units in Diamond 3 lol. Hydras are ~mech units. They are OK vs ground and lurkers are even more OK but then protoss just transitions to air and you don't have any gas in bank and your upgrades are also meh. They should have made microbial shroud more capable in dealing with storms or if it could defend from ground attack also so hydralisks - infestor would become somewhat usefull.
    Also WDYM by saying that scouting vs terran is not that usefull? I often mistake mech from bio and die to lack of scouting and terran is my worst matchup.

    It must be so easy to read a zerg because we have so few options unit composition wise. We have zero early cheese options apart from lings that are actually viable. So I guess its all about us scouting constantly what the opponents are doing and just massing the larger army and taking much more calculated/careful attacks to get the W. I think the key is to kill Protoss ASAP because once they get on that high base count and turtle in its a complete nightmare to overcome. I think im at 46% win rate vs protoss which for most zerg players I guess isnt too bad but I struggle like crazy with them.

      We can cheese with proxy hatcheres with queens and spines, evo blocks or early roaches though.

      Zerg has a lot of good options in terms of cheese. Early Ling roach attacks, proxy hatches, baneling busts, dropperlords that nobody uses, nydus worm all ins, etc. I think a protoss on a high base count is scary, but it becomes much more difficult to actually turtle for the protoss as they continue to expand and get to a higher base count as they end up much more spread out and more vulnerable to multi pronged harass. Also Zergs are SIGNIFICANTLY harder to read composition wise in the later stages of the game as it is far easier to tech switch as a zerg than any other race.

    Did the patch really take lurkers from being S-Tier to being 'not a good unit'? - wasn't it just a small decrease in movement speed?

      If a unit is good in 2 out of 3 matchups, I think it can still be S-tier. Also keep in mind this is masters league. In lower leagues lurkers still shred ground.

      @@Deto128 The only thing I can think of is that with the move upgrade lurkers where able to unburrow and scuttle away from a disruptor nova, if you had enough APM. I believe that's no longer the case (but I don't have the APM to test).

    Infestors were at their peak when they had the plus anti air infested marines they could spawn.
    I still dun get why they got rid of them completely. Fungal and Neural Parasite are the most difficult to micro spells in the game, at least with infested marines you had some guaranteed value form your infestors. I dunno what to do with this unit that bliz didn't already try.
    Imagine their trail could actually dmg and slow enemies 😆

      I think what makes them meh is not the nerfs, but that one of their 3 spells is not good. Microbial shroud needs a change. My take: should target a unit and move around with the unit, like guardian shield, or should target the units on a zone, and apply to those units even if they move, like the raven missile but inverted.

      Would be more guaranteed value...ish. Your units do have to actually get the value while buffed...
      Adunno microbial is a disaster. Most players dun even know what it does 😅

    Awesome game design. Literally half of Zerg's units are unusable and bad. Great job, balance team.
