- A review of my recent flight from New York (JFK) to Singapore (SIN) on Singapore Airlines Airbus A350-900ULR in Premium Economy Class
This IS the world's longest flight at 18 hours 18 min and a distance of 9537 miles. The experience in the Solo Seat was fantastic.

13:47 I love how all Singapore Airlines' planes have bright red paint at the tip of the pods attached beneath each wing. It mimics their female cabin crew with red-painted nails! I am loving this simple yet distinctive signature look!
True that!
That's the fairing for the flap hinges actuators❤
Really appreciate you vid, my son is doing this flight in three weeks starting in Perth.
This gave him a great insight.
Keep up the great work.
Thank you so much! Hope your son has a great flight 👍
We are doing EWR to SIN in January and you made this seem much less daunting than we were thinking. Sleep, eat, movie, repeat and we'll be there in no time!!
Don’t forget to drink too haha. Hope you have a great flight. Cheers!
Warning: on that Flight, once the 1st Meal is "served", they put the lights out in the Cabin & they keep you in darkness for at least 12 hours ........ they want you to sleep as much as possible.
Really, really well done video! I look forward to more. 😊
Thank you so much!
Flying in this same exact seat next week as my first long haul flight (more than 8 hours) and this video gave me so much peace of mind. Thank you!
Thank you. Hope you have a great flight!
Very nice review. Thank you.
Thank you. Glad you liked it!
Thanks for another great video. Looking forward to watching more of your videos
Thank you so much!
Really appreciate these videos! ❤
Thank you so much!
I can only imagine the excitement and relief landing in Changi. I would be exhausted, but I appreciated how positive, excited and happy you were on the flight. It all shone through in your review. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you! Yeah, it was partly because of the comfortable solo seat, the fact that I could sleep for a few hours at a stretch and SQ’s stellar service. I doubt I could survive this in a standard Economy Class seat haha
Just came across this video. Nice trip review.
Thank you!
That Moost Be One Of Best Seat In Premium Economy Cabin.Great Trip Report
Thank you. Yes indeed!
nice vid bro!!
Thank you!
Hello there. 😀 Thank you very much for sharing your video of your long-haul flight from JFK to SIN. I'm planning to visit New York this December, and also plan to fly on the same Singapore Airlines flight (on premium economy) as you did. Would you know if the seats at Row 43D to 43G can be reclined or not? I had read on the website Seat Guru that the said row of seats has limited or no recline at all. Also, is the solo seat worth paying the additional airfare for? Any advice from you is very much appreciated. Thank you very much! 😄
Thank you for your comments! The seats in Row 43 do recline but it’s limited due to the “wall” behind. The solo seats are definitely worth paying for. You have a lot of personal space and direct aisle access as there is no seat next to you. The additional storage space next to the seat is very useful too.
Thank you very much for the advice, much appreciated! 😀 I do hope to secure the solo seat on the flight for both ways, or at least on my return flight home. 😅 Thanks again! 😄
Really appreciate the video! I am also wandering if 42H would be comfortable? It is a solo seat, but is close to the restroom.
Better to take the first two rows of solo seats rather than the last one.
Flew the Newark to Changi Route with Singapore Airways in a Solo Seat in late November last year. The Solo Seat is definitely worth the extra $s as the Premium Economy Seats don't seem to be any wider than their Economy Seats & sitting next to a complete stranger (of either Gender) for over 17 & 1/2 does not appeal to me. Overall: a great Flight. Also, did the Changi to Newark Flight on the way over to the U.S. but not in the Solo Seat ....... great Cabin Crew.
You never said much about the seat angle or Position And sleep capability and comfort??? That’s what people want to know
The seat was quite comfortable although I wasn’t able to shoot the recline. As I’ve mentioned in the report, I was able to sleep throughout the Atlantic crossing
Hi. JFK-SIN lands you in Terminal 3 of Changi?
Hello. Yes, that is correct.
I’m taking that same flight. Should I book solo seat all the way in the back, or would it have limited recline?
The solo seat in the last row has a good recline as well. However, best if you could get one in the second last row.
@@VimanPhotography thanks but those are taken. I may stay where I am. The seat next to me is empty right now.
Why didnt you checkin at Business Class counters at JFK since you are Star Gold?
I wasn’t Star Gold at that time 🥲
Hey Viman, if you were traveling with a companion, do you think this is worth it? The extra space vs. having someone next to you?
Also one more quick question, did you feel there was a lot of noise from the bathroom or inconvenience from being closer to that area?
It depends really. If you’re with a companion, it would be good to have someone to talk to during such a long flight. Remember that if you’re on the window seat, you will have to request them to get up to allow you to go to the aisle. In a solo seat, you have direct aisle access and space around your seat to stand up and stretch.

How tall are you?
1.7m
Is Singapore Airlines being run by the ex CEO of Easyjet? It sure looks like it!
Haha why do you say that?
I flew NYC to BKK on Singapore Airlines Premium Economy (via Singapore) on March 6th, 2024. Very disappointing. It is basically an economy experience with better seats. The food was nothing exceptional (economy style food), no water in the sink bathrooms at the back of the plane to wash your hands, my TV display stopped working 4 hours into the 19 hour flight, I paid extra for a exit seat, but the seat was cramped and no storage room. Nobody could access the internet because of a server error, eventually I got access through a free voucher the head flight attendant gave me. The onboard staff were fine, but more focused on getting everyone asleep so they would have nothing to do. I have traveled Premium on United, Delta and Emirates, Singapore was such a let down. Their product is NOT recommended, overpriced and nothing special.
OMG. That’s terrible! Very unlike SQ!
The right name for that bird would be Niner Victor dash Sierra Bravo Golf.
Sierra Golf Bravo actually (SGB) 🙂
Really enjoy your videos except for the awful repetitive “music”. Totally unnecessary and if I mute it I can’t hear your commentary.
Thank you for your comments. Unfortunately the music is a necessary evil to mask out undesirable noises and voices around 😞
If you want to improve your content do more of the experience of flying. Show the boarding process. Is there priority boarding? Show the seating arrangements. Go to the seat space and how it would relate to a person who is tall. Discuss the seat dimensions and how far they recline. Say something about your comfort level compared to economy. Discuss the IFE. Talk about the variety of food and the taste. Describe the service from the FAs. Look at the bathroom and say something about it. You spent a lot of time showing the wing tip which I am sure nobody is interested in. Your viewers would like to know the entire experience of a premium economy flight on Singapore Airlines.
Are you sure you have seen the video? Boarding: 2:28, Seat review: 3:35/7:50, IFE: 8:37/10:30/11:12/12:40/16:35/20:54, Food options (Menu): 9:50, Food:12:00/15:31/17:00/20:01, Bathroom: 14:00, Overall comfort & review: 20:25/22:35. I'd suggest another watch 🙂
Sorry I must’ve posted on your site after watching some other mediocre video.
