    Gems they are!! Very pretty! I haven’t started doing pours yet, but I’m really excited to start, whenever that might be. I just need the money to start, and I just want to do black and white to start out. Thought it would be cheaper to start out with just a couple of colors, and I love black and white! I’ve been watching many videos. Thank you for going through all of that! It is very helpful. And, I just have to say, I love your bracelet! I’ve noticed it each time I watch your videos.

    Hi Gilly, I love watching your videos, they are truly inspiring. I am in Aus and have been using the 70/30 mont marte glue to water recipe as my pouring medium, and have been struggling to get any nice results. This video clarified that the 30% means 30% of the glue you have , not 30% of the total. So I was doing 700ml glue and 300ml water (70/30), but I should valve been doing 700ml glue and 210ml water…. It has made a HUGE difference to my pouring which I am finally starting to enjoy rather than being constantly frustrated, not to mention, wasting a lot of paint. I just wanted to say Thankyou 🥰

      Please could you explain this more, for a dumbo like me? I'm horrendous at maths and can't figure out what you mean. Thanks in advance ☺

    • @TrueblueAussie67
      @TrueblueAussie67 3 года назад +2

      @@Smoopy Let’s say I wanted to make up 1 litre of pouring medium, I would put in 700ml of glue (70% of 1 litre) and 300ml of water (30% of 1 litre)
      After watching this video, I realised that was not what Gilly was doing.. Gilly adds 30% of the amount of glue she has, so in this video she has 1 litre of glue and then adds 30% of the 1 litre which then gives her a total of 1300ml of pouring medium. So when I adopted the same logic, I actually only needed 210ml of water for my 700ml of glue. Eg. 700 x 30% = 210
      Hopes this makes sense 🤓

      @@TrueblueAussie67 Thank you so much for taking the time to reply. You're gonna hate me, but I still don't get it 😳🤣 I'll ask my partner to read it and see if he can make me understand. Thanks again!

    • @fightforjustice3744
      @fightforjustice3744 2 года назад +1

      @@TrueblueAussie67 To the mathematically minded, Gilly's mix is not a true 70/30 mix....it seems the 70 does not enter the ratio....it is merely some glue and then add 30% of that volume as water.....I will try that and see how that goes.

    I would like to learn your recipe that will give me a lot of cells. I watch many artists on youtube but yours is the most doable for me. It’s not easy, don’t know what I am doing wrong. I got this paint you are using from Amazon. I ‘ll let you know my progress.I don’t see Helmar silicone on Amazon.I have Elmers glue, Floetrol, Monte Mart it must be the silicone that I don’t have. Maybe you can tell Amazon to sell it just curious if you can do that. By the way I am in Delaware, US. Thank you so much.

    Always love these tutorials - thank you. The colors are beautiful. With the silicone that you use, when your piece is dry, do you have to 'clean' the canvas before you resin or put a coat of varnish? I hear other artists mention that when using silicone, they have to clean their piece because of the residue the silicone leaves behing. BTW, I was able to purchase Montmarte clear glue via Amazon here in the US. Thought your viewers might like to know that the US Amazon does sell it. Cheers!
