Has the style of runway walking changed of the last year or so because it seems like more than half the models shown walk so stiff and with their arms stuck to their sides. I'm so happy. The purple dress with the lilac opera gloves when I saw it, I was like I feel like Luke would appreciate those gloves.. so glad I was right.
Iris van Herpen proved once again that she is a genius and honestly no one is at her level atm. She surpassed McQueen's Atlantis with this imo. The creativity, thought, art, skill, research, precision, craftmanship that goes into her every single collection is unmatched. All the big, old couture fashion houses can hide in shame.
I saw a beautiful coral reef (a lot of dresses were reminiscent of exotic fish; the bubble yellow gown - a lion fish etc) and deep underwater darkness in IvH's collection, the neuron/plankton stuff is news to me, but I think it all works! Loved it.
Dior is so lackluster now ESPECIALLY haute couture. Here’s my take on Maria Chiuri for Dior: great designer/ creative director but NOT for Dior, she’s be better for another brand that’s more on the softer, delicate side. Dior’s old ready to wear collections looks better than the some of the haute couture now, I mean come on a now a peplum top and suit pant for haute couture???!!!!!!. I will always stan John Galliano for Dior 😍😍. I hope to get my hands on some of his pieces in the future as I get the money to do so.
That gown at 39:38 is really just breath taking. The way that the hem moves with her every step swaying and turning with her every move is memorizing. I've been replaying it over and over. And there is something so appealing about the simplicity of it. No huge bows or coral crowns. Just letting the fit of the dress speak for itself.
BRAVO. Nicely done. I may not agree with all your assessments, but I do appreciate a different point of view. Fashion is like art and everyone doesn't have to interpret it the same way. Bravo.
The notion that some pieces in IVH’s work this season have been disturbing feels like it would have been the same gut reaction to McQueen’s Horn of Plenty in 2009. It’s terrifying, and disturbing but if we treat fashion as art then its purpose isn’t to always look beautiful and be pleasant. Since expressionist days art has been meant to move and express ideas that aren’t necessarily transferable in words. So the chilling pieces serve a unique purpose just as much as the ethereal, gorgeous ones. but anyway is Dior ok 🤭
Oh man. That shiny red and white Valentino cape thing over that flower top thing just reminded me completely of ceramic tiles. Just looks exactly like glazed tiles. I'm all about that. This show is all modern art. omg.

That blue Valentino Sequin gown LITERALLY brought me to tears. *chefs kiss*
Lol” for the gladiator girlfriend “, who died on this with me 😂😂
Oh my god, the van herpen show was incredible, everything was so beautifull. I loved the "organic print" in blue, it reminds me of a dream or deep sea colors. Her collection is so poetic, except of the "eel dress"
Yessss! i love that you included the iris van herpen thing
Your genuine reverence for fashion mixed with your firey commentary is so good. Love your work, Luke
As a regular person, I ❤️ all the Iris collection. Can you imagine all that work?!
Hun! Thanks to you i’ve learn so much!
We need a new trends or a not so basic basics or something like that. Your commentary its super on point
I saw a beautiful coral reef (a lot of dresses were reminiscent of exotic fish; the bubble yellow gown - a lion fish etc) and deep underwater darkness in IvH's collection, the neuron/plankton stuff is news to me, but I think it all works! Loved it.
The "lion fish" dress reminded me more of a leafy sea dragon. It's a subspecies of seahorse that lives only in Australian waters.
Oooooh, totally! So beautiful
Iris Van Herpen’s collection was fire ur insane lmao
Really surprised by his reaction to iris.. her show was amazing the prints were so weird and beautiful. "disgusting" in the best kind of way
i love these videos so much but i just took a 20 minute nap to the first half of this and honestly? best nap ever
IVH collaborated with a fluid artist Shelee for the organic pattern. I liveddddd for the collaboration and the inspiration 💗
When I saw the Givenchy belts I thought for sure you’d roast the show, which I dreaded bc honestly it was the best thing I’ve seen in a while.
Living for the new microphone!!! This audio really just ups the production quality so much & takes your (already great) videos to the next level
The IVH collection was so ethereal.
More haute couture reviews PLEASE! Also, please do an avante garde look review. Thank you and bless up
Good heavens I'm early! The most delightful way to end the week! Thanks for never failing us Luke😍💖
2:12 “Listen.. BEEETCH” I just laughed in the train on my way to Luxembourg 🤣
You talk about haute couture the way I want to talk about crochet patterns. This was beautiful. Thank you.
Iris can NEVER disappoint me
This show is all modern art. omg.
i need a muslim celebrity to wear that hooded purple Valentino gown this instant
LOVED Iris Van Herpen collection. Look after look just wowed me! Inspired!
As a biologist who loves fashion, IVH has made me very happy. (edit: also loves sci-fi)
I want to see a video of you and your favorite fashion looks :) it's fun seeing you split designers who deserve it a new a hole, but I'd love to hear your POV on good fashion
Here we STAN iris van herpen
