You get major props for this, my friend.
Recognizing a problem prevalent in some of your clientele, then taking steps to address it?
Cudos! Way to care, man!
And thanks for the intel.
Edit: These don't appear to be on Amazon. Where can I get them?
Really appreciate this, thanks Damian! This foil shaver is from Wahl, you can cop it on their website 👊🏾
Very few barbers will actively change up their tools based on certain clients and I respect all that do aswell.
There's ZERO difference between these and any other single blade foil shaver. Too close of a shave is something NOBODY said ever, and as for the bumps, that's a problem whether you use a straight razor, trimmer, or foil shaver.
I usually avoid using it on certain hair types, good rule of thumb is to ask the client before using it.
good advice to follow for sure! Cheers for sharing bro 💪🏾
I highly agree my g.
I have also been using the uno foil shaver from stylecraft and have found it wonderful on black clientele, it doesn't go quite as close as the double foil which i think is the magic behind the single! I could be wrong but the results have been great!
Any recommendations for a small foil shaver that will get as close as a cartdrige blade? I have a Panasonic Arc 5 which gets very close I just do not like how big it is. Thanks in advance.
Is this a good machine to maintain a bald head or is more than a single foil required?
Thank you in advance and Happy Christmas & Happy New Year 🎅🎄🙌
bro, do you lubricate it or not ? just bought one for the first time and after few weeks I am tempted to put some oil on it. but nothing on the manual nor anyone else speaks about it.
What’s the model name of this Wahl? I’m debating between a single or double it’s just for personal use, I keep my head shaved .. cheers
Super close
@@theonewhoasketis it good?
@@amd.8839 yeah i have it
Can you provide the link
I been using the Wahl 5 star close shavers for years and they’ve never caused any ingrown issues.
The issue stem from dry skin not being moisturized.
When I shave my beard off and grow it back; I don’t even experience the usual irritation of ingrown hairs.
Keep your face moisturize properly, that’s the key to avoid ingrown hairs.
Doesn’t work for everyone. I religiously moisturize my skin (face and scalp) and I always get ingrown hairs. Some people have skin and hair combinations that lead to chronic ingrown hairs.
how close does the shavers get is it close like a razor 🪒 going up or no behind the head or no i have a pro foil but i don’t use it on my head just my face i want to ??
What’s the best trimmer for my beard? Majority of shavers have went through bios my skin, I have a close shave with a shaver don’t like blades as I get rashes regardless l
slider this cut is amazing 🤩
What’s the name of the one you are recommending ?
I've got quite thick hair and want to keep it shaved at home. What would you recommend, I currently just use a guard less clipper at the moment
Have you tried the Stylecraft Uno shaver single foil?
@stephendonnini6682 i use it on some of my black clients, shocked to see they came back week after week reporting zero irritation & ingrown. I just gotta thoroughly brush the insides after each clients to avoid any infections
Where can you buy this from? I’d love to try it
Yo! London-based, head to slidercuts.com to book an appointment, hope to see you soon 😄💈
@SliderCuts bro he asked where to buy the shaver from not book an appointment 🤦♂️
I’m “black” and I’ve been getting a electric razor used on me head/fave since I was 18
🤷♂️
A foil shaver is a foil shaver and will cut the hair down to the pore no matter what brand might brush up on that anatomy...
Thank you for your feedback!
Some trimmers will bump the sides also keep it same and just use a detachable 00000
Thank you for the recommendation I’m definitely gonna check this out
Dang, no comments yet? I'll be back, I gotta see if these really work like that...
Frfr
Just wondered, what you experience is with Bruan series 9?
NO! Me personally I spent $300 on that shaver. Thinking it was gonna work because I’ve seen another black guy use it and said he didn’t get any bumps, but for me it gave me bumps, not as bad as a razor but still I got bumps
@@ddatanndamn I’m not gonna buy the Braun Series 9 Pro now 😂
Which shaver did you use to prevent bumps then?@@ddatann
Cuz they don't get close enough. I use shaver on all my clients. One of my black clients told me if you don't get the hairs close enough you get ingrown hairs.

Can I buy the foil shavers on amazon?
Yes

The Andis white foil is wonderful black for clients who aren't prone to psedofolli colitis.
Thats the one I get complaints about.
Nah Andis foil always give me bumps
As a black man I only take advise about shavers from BLACK men.
Exactly why we're here 😂👊🏾
Exactly
Barbers study hair. They are constantly cutting hair and experiencing different textures and reactions to certain types of cutting and shaving. Also Caucasians get bumps too. Once a barber is familiar with hair textures and skin textures it doesn’t matter if they’re black or not, they know what to do and what not to do.
@oxpro4724 I don't know if I can trust that, but if true good on them.
@@lamartruth6601 I’ve been a barber for a long time and I studied hair for a while extensively due to having an issue with ingrowns myself and hair loss issues. It’s almost like saying a doctor who studies health has to be black to know the proper health guidelines for black ppl lol
That’s good to know
Happy it helped! You a barber also?
Possess use foil shavers real barbers use a straight razor
It all depends on what the client want. You can't force someone to use staightrazor when they get bumps, some clients can only be shaven with trimmers.
I thought straightrazors were espcialy for people who are sensitive to bumps? @@monkey_ish4117
Do you mean "posers"?
racism!!!!!!
