6 WAYS TO IMPROVE YOUR SELF-ESTEEM | GREY HAIR INSPO Do you struggle with self-esteem issues? If so, I want you to know that you are not alone. Having moved a lot as a child and an adult, I had to navigate a lot of change and always being the "new girl." Over the years I have worked on techniques and strategies to quiet the negative chatter in my head and I have to say that I am getting better at it. After filming this video I started thinking of even more ways that I boost my self-esteem, such as being around positive people who love and support me. I am blessed to have some amazing family and friends in my life who don't judge me and allow me to be me!
I wish I wasn't always so sensitive but I'm learning to accept that that's how I am and it can be a great tool for empathy towards others. Because of my own experiences with bullying growing up I am more in tune with others and when somebody needs an ear (or a shoulder) I'm there.
It took me many years to get over the whole middle/high school regression crap. I finally have let that go and boy does it feel good. Growing out my grey hair was a challenge but one that I am proud to have gotten through. I know it may sound vain to some, but hair can be a big part of our identity and letting our real selves shine through is not always easy, especially with the social construct of grey = old.
