Great video but you do not have drain all your coolant out. I did the job last week.

How do you know the resistor is bad, what values should it be?

Helpful video! What kind of swivel are you using? I can’t seem to get mine to fit on the bottom screw of the resistor.

This must be an automatic temp controlled car?

I don’t think you have to drain the coolant to get to it…

I have a manual fan switch, what resistor do I need because it looks like the one in the video is for automatic climate control?🙏

This vehicle is with automatic temp control. Is you have dials, itll look like a playing card. However, before 2004 the resistors without auto temp control looked like springs. You will need to know build date.

How would you know if the resistor is bad and not the blower motor itself?

I just did mine on my 07 Crown Vic and didn't need to drain the coolant, but I can see why removing the coolant hose would be required, it would make it a million times easier. But it can be done without removing the hoses if you have small enough hands or good patients. Then again, this looks like an older Panther with the size of that unit and heat sink so maybe just for this year or something. Mine was the size of a playing card.

That resistor is for the automatic temp control module. If you have knobs to control your HVAC you have the one that is playing card size.
