I don't know what this song is about, but that part when he screams "It rains on everyone it rains" reminds me how everyone is going through a hard time eventually and you are not alone, you might suffer for something that someone else does not, but at the same time other people suffer because they don't have something you have, hence it's raining on everyone, not just on you
Actually this is a very odd performance! He normally wears a blue button up so this was definitely a new addition. Blue button ups have been his thing for his whole career, the white ones are more of a one off thing.
i want to tell the truth as often as possible but its hard to know what the truth is often. thats what makes that line so haunting. so desperate. who the fuck knows the truth maaaaan somebody tell meeeeee!!!!
@@Kamil2142 how is it the truth when there are gospels and passages that directly contradict each other, even within the new testament there are so many discrepancies between the gospels. and is the torah the truth? that contains almost the entirety of the old testament? how about the Quran? islam shares all angels and patriarchs of christianity and believes in a lot of the same stuff. why believe in one but not the other. how can you say yours is the truth
@@sensitivewhiteboy The Bible, meaning the Old and the New Testament. The torah is just the Old testament, for which there is a reason why it's called "Old" - without the "New", the message is incomplete. The quran has some similarities, true, but the fact that it permits lying clearly suggests there's something off in its morals, just as is the case with talmud - both also don't believe in the divinity of Jesus Christ, which is a foundation of Christianty. What else there is - hinduism? Millions of gods and the twisted concept of karma and constant reincarnation? Makes more questions that it ever answers; I'll pass. Buddhism? Gnosticism/Luciferianism in a different coat of paint, i.e. men can become god. At the end of the day, it's Christianity that makes the most sense. I suggest reading C.S. RIP Joe Maus
He brought John's great bass lines to life!

Everything is perfect.
Sound of collection I agree
This song is fucking beautiful. This is soooo much better than the studio version. Prove me wrong.
One of my fav tracks from Pitiless Censors, such a good performance. The drowned out vocals, ow oof, so good
i watch this daily, it gets me going
1:53 most beautiful moment in a live performance that I’ve heard
I love it
That chord change to the bridge hits so hard
Brings me shivers every time.
Has a bit of a post-punk feel to it.
Well, itxs indie rock.
@@robertbeckerbecker1354 that was my thought too. Is there any indie rock that isn’t 80’s post punk at this point?
I think it’s his super low voice. Very akin to like sisters of mercy
Technically it is lol
His music does have a bit of like screamo elements for sure of all things.
This so amazing 💜 like another time, another space
when he screams the lyric at 1:34 ITS SO BEAUTIFUL
it grew on me FAST
im pretty sure he wears the same button up shirt for every performance lmao
Justin Rios thanks for that info.

Damn this is good
this music warms my heart
Rest in peace Joe Maus 💙💙💙. Love this performance so much.

“Amd the rain changed to niiiiight.” 🤔 wait that’s not it either. 😂
Reminds me of Ian Curtis, Joy Division...
son increibles
I always hate live songs, and find the "original" better, but this was amazingly good
DOWN DOWN DOOOOOOWN
This is kinda great. It's like an 80s new wave tune put through an emo filter.
U mean like every 80’s post punk song ever made?
genius
Russian Doll ep 1 brought me here! Down down down! Luv it!

The Bible is unironically the truth, my dude. Not any organised religion - simply the Bible
