I didn't know about this movie until I heard Jordan Peterson's interview with Scott. I teach Earth Science and sustainability at a highschool and this is the perfect video for my classes. Thank you Scott!

Poignant moment at the Doctor’s when Scott tears up. Very impactful and overall surprisingly upbeat

Good overall info on energy systems in remote areas of the World; useful initiatives with good intentions. Also a heartwarming, human cooperation. Scott Tinker has a loving heart for sure; thank you for making this film! 🙏💕✨

Excellent film because a lot of work has been done to show how energy generation is handeled in quite different parts of the developing world. Columbia, Nepal, Ethiopia, Vietnam and Kenya.

    Educative & informative video.
    Crisis of energy across world.
Petroleum problem also across world.. Petrol diesel prices hikes every where. It also problem of pollution.
Amid controversies, solar energy & bio gas are best option.
    Thanks

I was happy to see biogas used! We need more clean, appropriate technology that uses "waste" and converts it into something usable, eliminating problems. Every human and animal poops, and right now, that's a problem. I hope you also look into rocket mass heaters and rocket stoves (built with clay, mud, straw and fueled with twigs, almost no smoke nor waste), and solar box-type ovens (no emissions at all).

I applaud groups of people working together to accomplish a project like the one shown here in Columbia. It is misleading however to say the installation of some solar panels and some Chinese batteries has “electrified” that village, in the way that Vietnam and Ethiopia are becoming electrified. The two things are not remotely similar. In that village with solar panels there will be no drinking water moved by electric pumps, no modern hospitals. Those batteries won’t even get a family through a full 12 hour night, and in few years they’ll require replacement.
Stop screwing around with pleasant acoustic guitar soundtracks and get nuclear power into the developing world.

how much electricity is required for induction cooking .? …..i used to see those colombian folks in santa marta columbia when i was there , when they came to the city . as i recall the women carried all the heavy loads including the children and had to walk behind the men ., maybe i’m wrong but that’s what i remember .

i’d like to use induction cooking but with 1 kw solar and 400ah lithium batteries i don’t have enuf power
