It should be a felony….no questions asked….when a citizen calls 911 and lies/embellishes the truth, in an attempt to weaponize the police against other citizens. That lady should have been arrested.
While I agree I also disagree. I hate the stupidity of people but time and time again policies like this cause fear (yes, sometimes irrational fear) in the honest and law abiding amongst us. I would hate for people to not use the 911 services out of fear of any possible repercussions like a felony. Though I could see a more prevalent fines that perhaps increase with each report of 911 abuse/false reporting that maybe eventually turn into a felony after a set amount. There would also need to be additional police training and a desire to enforce it though.

Everybody needs to be aware of this, as I never compliment the cops (Well, I compliment them when I see one not acting like an angry terrorist for 3 minutes), BUT
2 stripes was really close to being awesome here. He apologized that there was nothing else he could do, but he didn't say it like they usually do. He had a very subtle, single directive to SGV.
He ONLY HAS FIVE+ YEARS and has his second stripe. He might actually be hopeful. All of the cops under him who came up were quiet and kept their space. Very unusual, and I have a feeling they respect him as well. This is actually a huge deal.
I'm with you 90%. I tend to appreciate certain cops more frequently than I used to, but that's only because I don't expect them to get it 100% right. So long as they're respectful and genuine to people while respecting our rights, they have my support the majority of the time. The Corporal got dang close to 100% here, not something I've seen more than a handful of times.
