To combat the increasing noise restrictions on tracks around the US, a lot of track goers are attaching tubes to the exhaust outlets that point away from the noise meters so they don't pick up the full volume of the exhaust. Not the best looking option ...especially on a Lamborghini... but worth a try if you want to be able to go full tilt without being kicked out. Then once you leave the track you just take them off.

I find it incredible that you’ve posted today Tim, despite everything. I think this is the best way to Remember Randy, by sending a Lamborghini full speed. Keep it up man🤙
It is so massively disappointing every time I hear there are decibel restrictions for a RACE TRACK. I know it's not just Nurburgring but never ceases to disappoint.
well 130db is an automatic irreversible damage to your ears. Your not deaf but you will lose frequencies/sensitivity and there's a risk of getting tinnitus witch can be permanent.
Can they not measure the sound as it is, because the sound level will surely be amplified due to the barriers and trees and this is then picked up by the sensors on the track.
Tim's lambo is awesome....but the litle 206 is reeeeaaallllyyyyy grab my attention, very fast and yet it goes very well...kudos to the owner of that pocket rocket!
I always wonder how brands like Lambo, Ferrari and the like are able to circumvent the EU sound regulations. They are rigid these days and, lets say AUDI, BMW or MERC could NEVER get a car registered in Germany (this is an english car, I know, but I hear Lambos every day in Germany) with the same massiv amount of noise of a Lambo. A 2-class society? Small numbers, more noise allowed? I don't know....Tell me!!
Technically the STO isnt legal in terms of exhaust, the emissions are way way way above the legal limits that a manufacturer is allowed to have a car put out. The way they solved this is by just paying the fines. Lamborghini at the moment is paying many million Euros a year just in fines due to their cars having the exhausts they do.
@@thedretti21 The only way to sell cars with increased amounts of emissions is by paying the fines, you can look up how much the fine is (it's per vehicle sold and then per gram emission above the limit) and then by using Lamborghinis sale numbers from last year (which was their most successful year with this year being even more successful) you can calculate how much they're actually paying in fines.
Hey Shmee, there are only 1-2 points on the track where they measure the loudness of the car. If you release the gas on such section, most likely the car won't be excluded from the track. Everything is about to find out where are those points. Maybe friends around track will know? Just an advice.
Don't worry, drivers with Performantes have already been expelled from the ring because the cars were too loud. In times of particle filters for gasoline engines, this will probably happen more often because people are simply no longer used to it. It's a miracle for everyone how Lamborghini managed to get the cars through the general approval for the EU.
@@Shmee150 The problem is that the sound is extremely amplified by the guard rails there and the car seems even louder than it already is. It is sad but in modern times, unfortunately, everywhere is extremely paid attention to noise protection. But I must say it's nice to see how you use your cars for what they were built for.
For the road homologation in the EU the sound levels are only measured and have be in certian levels at specific rpm ranges and speeds. Everything above or below that is not relevant for the road homologation in Europe. Nordschleife hoewever has additional sound limits to be able to keep the track oben as it is.

@@jakobmulberger2376 Yeah, from my experience on some other car spots thing "looks" exactly as you mention. On other hand from video you should still have the same idea which car was the loudest, you're absolutely correct that some GTR's, BMW's, sometimes even Porsche's sound a lot louder. Truth be told I call absolute BS on 134db mentioned in a video - that would be louder than a starting jet, most of the cars are barely reaching this level when they're literally spitting flames because of the anti-lag.

That's a joke right
@@barnhardtbrecken3360 what's a joke?
@@barnhardtbrecken3360 no joke. Wish it was a joke. His team announced it yesterday
Has to be the best ever lap I've seen someone enjoy!
Yes bei Lambo immer problem 🤣🤣👍 now thats Denglish
WHAT IS THAT WATCH!!?? Looking and sounding amazing!
Sad to see it happen. Rules are rules. Guess Lamborghini didn't plan for track days for these cars. Nice vlog. Keep up the good work.
You are starting to be an amazing driver 👍 👏 good job
This is amazing keep up the good work man!
Thanks a ton!
Would be fantastic seeing Mischa on that STO on that track❤️🤘
That was a great lap, shame it’s too noisy 😂😂😂
I love the way the official was so polite about it.
Can they not measure the sound as it is, because the sound level will surely be amplified due to the barriers and trees and this is then picked up by the sensors on the track.
Amplified by barriers and trees? That is not how sound works.
That little Peugeot at the beginning was absolutely flying. Seriously modded and impressive.
Ive been waiting for this. The shmeemobile rite of passage
It always has to happen!
I heared that you got special regulations and options if a car manufactuter produces less than 10'000 cars per year....But not sure about that!
They pass the tests at low rpms.
marken wie lamborghini und ferrari haben eine kleinere stückzahl als audi oder bmw und deshalb gelten für die andere regeln
it's very strange especially with Lambos. Seems like the regulations haven't changed anything where other brands got very quiet
The Denglish was amazing. "That's bei Lambo immer a problem. We have noch a Lambo here."
Is it even possible to lap a nurburgring in eletric mode in SF90? Does it have enought EV range to lap it?
I think Tim says it has about 30km range pure electric. Probably less if you're giving it the beans but it should still comfortably get round
The tri-screen pov is MEGA!!
You have source? That would be crazy
That’s what happens when you elect green freaks. There should be an exemption to low production cars
I don't quite understand what all goes in to the rules of that track but....."forget them" 😑
Because people live there!
love the way how subtitles say [MUSIC] for all the engine noise
1:45 Püppi 😂
The Nurburgring is so perfect! I hope one day I can go and drive my car. What a track wow
Hey its almost a cool problem to have your Lamborghini to loud for the race track XD
My God !! Mr Shmee !! ..... Dude You Can Drive Man !! ............. Wow Superb Driving ...................Bless you & Your Team !!
I have absolutely no idea how they pulled that on off, if they actually did...
@@Shmee150 that could make for an interesting video
@@Shmee150 The problem is that the sound is extremely amplified by the guard rails there and the car seems even louder than it already is. It is sad but in modern times, unfortunately, everywhere is extremely paid attention to noise protection.
But I must say it's nice to see how you use your cars for what they were built for.
For the road homologation in the EU the sound levels are only measured and have be in certian levels at specific rpm ranges and speeds. Everything above or below that is not relevant for the road homologation in Europe. Nordschleife hoewever has additional sound limits to be able to keep the track oben as it is.
Shmee rocking the new Omega Swatch?! Just raised this guy up several notches on my radar!
Imagine being too loud on a track circuit...smh. They might as well give you a ticket for driving too fast.
In a car designed for a track. And the craziest part is the Ring has one of the highest limits of any track out there.
So true! On yesterday video from Auto Addiction it does not sound louder than some of the cars out there either. Complete nonsense...
But it’s not a track it’s a toll road.
Are there any derestricted noise track days in the UK???
@@mateuszwojciechowski91 being honest with you, none of the cars in the AA video are as loud as in real life. After chilling trackside at Karfreitag i wanted to "rehear" some of the cars i saw in real life that day. Especially one GT-R and some Beamers were just mad out there.. in the AutoAddiction (and other) videos the cars just sounded nowhere near as in real life. I don't know if that's because of the microphones or the overall video quality, but i think it's best to hear cars like that with your own ears.
