BEWARE OF THE JUMP SCARE AT 21:52!!!
Format for this event:
Driver 1 does an out lap. Then a confirmation lap. Then 5 sprint laps. Then an in lap.
Driver 2 does the same laps. Confirmation lap needs to be as close as possible to the confirmation lap set by driver 1.
Sprint laps need to be as fast as possible.
In laps and out laps don’t matter, you can drive as slow as you like within reason.
The slower the laps + the bigger the difference in confirmation laps, the higher your overall score. Lowest score wins.

Yeah those opening moments were quite nerve-racking. I had no idea if it was dry or wet or what to expect. Luckily enough it calmed down by the time I actually got onto the track.
That rear view cam being not being mirrored nearly gave me a heart attack with that SEAT.

Trust me, I tried mirroring but it just doesn't look right. I guess if you look backwards then things are just naturally the other way around.
@@Super_GTWell in sim racing games and real life when you check your rear mirror you see a mirrored image. Your brain intuitively understands this fact and it causes a weird disconnect when given both forward and backward perspectives at the same time. Our brains are only used to processing information from one direction at a time. I vote mirror the video

Becoming a professional racing driver does not work out for most people, but at least you can find a lifelong hobby and even get to race in real life - at your own expense.

I’d say the adrenaline rush from going to sim racing to now flying down the Nurburgring is surreal to take part of. I’m glad you’re getting to do your dream :)

I just recently had my first F1 race on my PC with a controller, so were basically twins. They call me Stinky GT tho.

Thats a cool track. I played one of the GT games way back 20 years ago and first time getting on that track without knowing anything about it or even hearing the name before, it stayed in my head ever after. Each GT game I went straight back to it.
First second of the video I was like "that guy behind is the twin of Misha Charoudin"...a minute later... 🤣🤣🤣 The legend himself! Very good content, it was nice to see you on the Ring!
Misha is like the concerned parent watching his boys go on their first lads holiday abroad. He knows they will have fun, he knows the fun they'll have, but he also worries. And he has fun animal facts. Dad life.
Im kind of new to the party(been watching a few months) but i seriously love you're videos mate. Im trying to catch up on your content a bit, but this is just so impressive. Sim racing and racing in real life is completely different. You make it look so easy, so much skill. I got Gran Turismo last Christmas but i only played about a month or two. Came back 4 months later and im absolutely loving it because of your vids. I always analyse your driving to see what i can do better. I am very grateful of these vids mate. You just got a subscriber. Keep up the good work.
Absolutely amazing, Steve! You handled the Nürburgring like a seasoned vet. I had the pleasure of riding around the track in a GT500 Mustang while I was stationed in Germany. Wish I could have driven it myself but didn't want to take my daily ride and potentially wreck it.

It's always been a dream to drive or race the Nurburgring. I don't think it'll ever happen because I'm on the other side of the planet, but at least I get to live vicariously through you.
With enough money it shouldn't be a problem. I'm "close" to that track but i'm just too broke to do this :-/
