I've taken loads of GIS training and they always start with preloaded maps, so I never knew how to get started. This video is amazingly helpful. Thanks!
Excellent piece of work. thank you very much to upload this video. i was struggling a lot to this problem and wasn't able to find the solution to this. thank you once again.
Thank you for posting this, it was a big help! I had forgotten how to do this. Your video was the perfect refresher for something that needed to get done fast.
I just would add one information. Before to import an excel file into Arcmap we need to open this excel file, select the coordinates, go to menu, and choose "numbers" and we also need to select all the rest of this table and select "text".
Very informative. Searching for similar method to import field data into model of water distribution system. Model is in state plane coordinates (Oklahoma - North), data is in NAD 83. Creating new map frame for gps data to export to shapefile, then import that into model file...
Finally, how to save combine XY file and database map above to MXD files? Thank you we know ArcMap document files contain map, specifics about the GIS data used (including pointers to the file location for each dataset), display information (symbology and labeling) and other elements used in ArcMap.
