- Warren Haynes came over from Orlando to play a few songs at the Dan Toler Benefit.
Warren you are truely a generous and amazing person... I think I can speak for all... THANKS from everyone there that night. It was an absolute joy having you here for Danny! See ya again at Wanee 2012
I was there with maybe 100 other lucky people listening to greatness.
Artimus that was great, Warren has the right voice, very good sound
Love it! Love the generosity of Warren Haynes to go to play with this band for the benefit the Dan Toler Benefit! Love the Artimus Pyle Band also. Great musicians ... great people also.
warren Haynes- is there any better player out their today ? he sits in and fits in with anyone and takes another bands classic to the stratosphere and beyond. seen him 5 times last 2 years all shows 3+ hours. amazing
Greg did you not hear 3:33-3:36
Love that guitar 🎸
great performance warren still has it what a tone out of the 335 gibson never heard this sound so good. the man steps up and makes it look easy. g-p

WHEN I FIRST HEARD THAT WARREN HAYNES SITTINGIN WITH ARTIMUS PYLE BAND .ISAID TO MY SELF THIS IS GOING TO BE GREAT ,AND I WASENT WRONG
Great show....A Pyle band was terrific and W Haynes was a BONUS!!
Nice video, great music that should never be forgotten. thank you Artimus for keeping it alive. I know the Skynyrd tribute band does it to but you have the same thing going. One member carrying the torch. I respect that.
What more could anyone ask for, BRILLIANT :)
Great Music. Thanks for posting.
I am just Glad that Warren Haynes, Johnny Van Zant, Artemis Pyle, Gary Rossington, Henry Paul, Rickey Medlocke and others are still alive and making music!
Everybody has their preferences, but the past few years has taken a terrible toll on the Southern Rock scene.
I just want to enjoy ALL that's left of it.
This Guys are legend!!!!!!!! God bless the simple man
Roll Tide Warren Hayes
As my guitar gently weeps I will find strenght to carry on the songs that tell of a great man we call Dangerous Dan Toler. He will continue to inspire who play or merely listen. He will join his brother David and then the Heavenly tour begins.Danny was a complex string man, but remaned a Simple Man with his sharing of love..I love you Danny and David..**
I've just recently come to the knowledge that my musical heroes are not the band of brothers I imagined them to be... first let me say I'm 42, and Skynyrd has and always will be my first love. My band, that' speaks for me, every song I relate to and have cherished memories that come to mind of where I was at, who I was with, and what I was feeling for almost every song.... I'm only 42, so I was barley a year old when Ronny Steve and the others died in that crash just 45 min from where I currently live. Growing up listening to the albums passed down from my dad learning every song one by one on my guitar, my dad showing me... Lied about where I was going went to see them the first time at 15.... As a guitarist myself Alan Ed Steve and Gary (in that order) were my favorite guitarist and I read all the articles, bought the merch. But I never read a thing about the absolute disgrace and disrespect the remaining members of the band generations of southerners hold sacred...
Seems The record labels have kept a lot hidden from throughout the yrs and as fans it's time for the word to get out... I'm a Christian and I believe in forgiveness and restoration, amends can be made. Wrongs can be made right..... As fans that buy the tickets and merch we should demand it... like the Bible says first go in private with two or three others and give them a chance to make it right, and if they refuse none of us ever buy a ticket again... Ronny and the others death is worth that much, Gary Rosington and the others in control need to make things right with their brothers!
Warren kills it, Great Video!!!!
Only makes me miss Ronnie even more and realize there will never be another fill his shoes not even close.
Warren is Great!
Woof!!!
Loved it, thanks!
Le quedó brutal simple mamá Warren hanenes
this is the second best version of this song....it's second to every version of this song with Ronnie on vocals....Warren such an amazing performer and definitely put his twist on this song respectfully...
Warren is the Man, R.I.P. to all the Freebirds, Cousin Figel
Love it.............
I'm just glad that Technology allows me to have a front row seat! RIP Dangerous Dan!
We're saddened to learn of Dangerous Dan Toler's passing. RIP to a wonderful man and musician. If you can, please consider donating to a worthy ALS charity or research organization in his memory.
What a sweet ES-335 Warren is picking. Looks like Pre-1964...
RIP Gary and Ronda from Your friend Dougie
lm living simply'tak8ng warrens advice'cause l believe in him'l llike noisy guitar sound all the time
Good Shit Australia cheers
Thanks Warren!
oh my!!
2013 Christmas Jam - Orange Peel did the same song,,,,
So happy he does act like a Ronnie wanna be dork on stage at all he is actually a talented entertainer on stage great pick Artimus thank God .
wow
I'm not a drummer but I am a big fan of the original recording of this and that ain't the drum part. There's a really cool stutter on the snare during the second bar of every verse line. I love Artimus either way.
Artimus did his own thing...Bob Burns was a much more economical player and Arty played more aggreesive and in a "live" context.
I agree on the drum part. There are two really good shuffle licks that are not being played. I am a drummer, and I love playing this song.Any of the musicians I work with will tell you. I don't like insulting"The Lynyrd Skynyrd Band."I always ask when talking freelance work to make sure I can refresh my self on any of the Lynyrd Skynyrd song's they regularly perform.Just Southern Respect..☮️🎼🥁🎼.
This band is way better than the band calling themselves Skynard. Gary needs these boys badly.
All Gary needs to do is change camp, but that's a dream that will never happen. The so called Skynyrd band is all about merchandising and dollars...
Gary is too busy having heart attacks on stage for the band clown act show unfortunately.
@@terrymartin3224 he learned from the best RVZ. Making everyone get on that shit plane so they didn't have to cancel a show the next day.ronnie should have manned up made them fix the Pyle of junk or we ain't going. Sorry but ronnie owes them
NERVE RACKIN NOIZZZZZ!
Gary said Artemis couldn’t play anymore. I don’t know about that. He sounds pretty good to me, Mr. Rossington. If Artemis wants to toss his kit around like Keith Moon, let him . You can go ahead and ram your Les Paul into your speaker cabinet like Pete does. Nobody cares. Give it up, boss....🎸
Wrong buddy a lot of us cares
Woow! Nice o.0
heeheehee, funny, took me a while but I got it, good one.
I thought Warren was technically a better player than Duane. Don't intend to begin a dispute because the music is more about inspiration than technique which Skydog owned all you could ask for. My point is that Warren sang this well and always plays the strings with apparent talent.
Where was this performance?
Can’t hear the vocals!
Is there a band anywhere that Warren hasn't played with? Lol.
Slobbo Baggins
what is wrong with Dan?
i wonder what warren would have been in tolkien's world?
Roadie-maybe
what song is this?
It's a Lynyrd Skynyrd song originally called Simple Man
What the Fcuk ,I was told this band better than other band so I checked them out,wow do the other band hold the rights to this songs music, because that sounds nothing like simple man, I gringe on the lead breaks and chord changes, absolutely a pub band and nothing more, and I have heard this played better by a pub band back here in Belfast , Ulster
Horrible
