About:
Mortal Kombat is an American series of martial arts action films based on the fighting video game series of the same name by Midway Games. The first film was produced by Lawrence Kasanoff’s Threshold Entertainment. The first film, Mortal Kombat, was released in 1995 and its sequel, Mortal Kombat: Annihilation, was released in 1997. After the two films, game publisher Midway filed for bankruptcy. Warner Bros., having become the parent of New Line Cinema in 2008 (after over a decade of both operating as separate divisions of Time Warner), made a bid to purchase most of Midway's assets, including Mortal Kombat. In June 2009, Kasanoff and Threshold sued in bankruptcy court, arguing that they owned the copyright to many of the characters from the series.
On July 1, 2009, the bankruptcy court approved the sale of most of Midway's assets to Warner Bros. subject to the intellectual property claims of Threshold Entertainment. After years of development hell, a reboot of the series was released in April 2021.

Actually, as excited as I am to see the return of Sonya Blade and the others and the appearance of Kitana and Jade. I am most excited about seeing Noob Saibot which by the way if they followed the game story correctly that is who the first Sub Zero turns out to be. Also, I would be excited to see the return of Sub Zero but as Kuai Liang.
Hopefully the rest of the Lin Kuei will make a cameo in this movie or will appear during the 3rd part.
I think Mortal Kombat 2 will be showing Johnny Cage & Cole Younge. In the last scene when Cole is leaving there is a poster saying "Johnny Cage is back" I don't remember but that's what I remember.

Well considering the first movie flopped, WB keeps ruining the DC universe, and everyone hates Cole Young then you’re not the brightest are you? To think it’s doing well to then keep doing well is hilarious. It never did well to begin with rated R or not
If they focus this mk2 movie around Cole again then it will be an epic fail nobody cared about that guy and please to make lui Kang stronger because that bicycle kick was WACK compare to the good old classic movie plus make better costumes I think the one in the 2021 movie was poor and that cgi goro laughable I know gonna bash that movie hard because it was the time of covid but no excuses now I want to see much better and longer fights scene better costumes for all characters and for heaven sakes a far better bicycle kick plus storyline

As much as I love Karl Urban the actor, he’s 52. Too old play Cage, who should be younger character. Plus he doesn’t have a martial arts background. But Keanu Reeves is 62 so maybe 🤷🏻♂️

Yeah, Cole young storyline was trash. This movie had potential those first 15 minutes was amazing and then it became an epic fail. I did enjoy the action scenes though so we’ll see what they do with part two

I hate to say this but this movie is probably gonna be freakin awful like the one before it. You can clearly see it's being made by people who don't really know mortal kombat. They probably think it's spelled "Rayden", probably say "bye Han" instead of Bi-Han, and think it's a good idea for the kharacters to break the 4th wall by having them say" flawless victory" and " fatality" while looking at the screen. They'll make Johnny cage a joke that gets whooped by jobbers, and have a female win the tournament instead of liu kang. It'll be a Woke-non-cannon turd sandwich.
