- The next Mortal Kombat will decide the fate of Earthrealm! Scorpion, consumed by his past, is faced with an impossible decision before this tournament.
MORTAL KOMBAT: DEATHRIGHT is a self funded, non profit short film. This was put together by an incredibly small crew who loves MK, and would like to make other short films based on various properties. Deathright is our love letter to the 90s era of Mortal Kombat (games, movies, comics), as well as 80s/90s action films. I hope everyone has as much fun with it as we had making it. In the first movie you got the best looking live action Scorpion,Chris Casamassa with his fighting style and the original Scorpion's outfit.

Been MK fan since 1st played at the arcade many blisters on my fingers good job on this✌✌✌
1. The costumes look great! Scorpion looks frightening, as he should.
2. The Fight choreography was pretty decent; Not over the top, but pretty good nonetheless.
3. The fight music was very much a throwback to 90's techno, fitting for Mortal Kombat.
Overall, well done! Perhaps for a future video, I would like to see Scorpion hunting down Sub Zero's fellow Lin Quei, Jason Voorhees style.
Yh the fight choreography was definitely the weakest part but good overall

A minute and 20 seconds in and it is already better than the big-budget cinema film.
Extremely well made for an indie short. This is proof that WB should let fans have some kontrol over the franchise direction. Hell, let's get Boon and Tobias back together again developing again for the series as they did in the glory days.
As much as I love fan films, and as endearing as they can be, they almost always have that inevitable “cheese” factor that comes from being low budget, having inexperienced actors, poor special effects & costume design.. so I always enter into watching them with a degree of skepticism. In this case, I’m almost GLAD I went in with low expectations, because this was genuinely incredible from start to finish. The writing was excellent, leaving just enough of a sense of foreboding that you truly feel there’s something BIGGER to come. The special effects work and the Direction/Choreography that ALLOWED for it, were top notch and perhaps among the best I’ve ever seen in a fan film (ESPECIALLY the ice effects, WOW). Somehow this hit marks that the recent MK film nor the original 90’s film could even hit properly. It left me wanting more and wishing HBO would greenlight you on a full series with a bigger budget. You should be very proud.

Crazy how well these actors did the official moves, this was a good watch.
Boys this is outstanding. You clearly understand all the fundamentals of creating a passionate fight scene. I wish Hollywood had more of your confidence in terms of how you create your shots. The costume design is also on point. It’s clear a high level of effort and passion went into this. You already have so many of the skills necessary to make something great. Keep pursuing these skills and advancing on them. Faster fight choreography and more tightness and control of the camera. There’s always room for improvement and it’s hard to criticise work that comes from the heart that already gets so much right. So I’ll just say don’t stop.

I think they should slightly speed up the fight shots because it looks too cosplay also they didn’t edit the camera angles when taking hits because we can see how far apart the punches and kicks. I like the costume and look of the film though

I love fan made films! I ALWAYS give them good rating because stuff like this is EXTREMELY hard without a professional studio, budge and so on. Very cool vid. I enjoyed it.
The background music from MK Shaolin Monks was truly the best, it gave off a certain vibe that's missing in today's Mortal Kombat games. 👊🐉
How can a fan project have better and more actuate costumes than the films
Because the real talent isn’t in Hollywood. This production is proof of that. 🐉
Money doesn’t equal good work. Passion and love of what you make always end up with a greater product. Give these people half a Hollywood budget, stunt crew, and decent writing team and they would make a film better than what Hollywood would deliver.

Yeeah people, this movie is better than that crappy MK 21, reminds Paul Anderson's Mortal Kombat 1995. Everything is so atmospheric here, costume designs, voices, dialogues, music is perfect and the fight feels brutal💪 I would give money to the creators and actors, if I could, to realize their ideas 🔥

Bro, I wish this had a VHS distortion. This feels like a classic 90's action film. And not in an insulting way- everything about this is so well done. It took me back to the classic days of MK 95 and DVD extras. A deleted scene unlocked in the Deadly Alliance Krypt. haha Amazing!!

I have been a mk master since 92, I have all of the arcade machines and, I just paid out the ass to have an arcade machine made of Mortal kombat 1, the 8 inch woofers attached to the side is remarkable, anyway I have wanderd why that the first Mortal kombat movie ever made using high paid actors, why they didn't use effects like these, and these guys, "no offense " don't have nowhere near the budget the studio had and still made a better 13 minute movie better that an hour and half professional made movie....LOVE IT, PLEASE CONTINUE

Jesus this is so underrated and just zo amazing! I love the small detail of Scorpion moving his thumb around in anger when Sub Zero was making him angry and stuff, and the choreography and the effects especially the frozen one were amazing!! I cannot take the right words out of my mouth for this.

This low budget 13 minute fan film was waaaaay better than the 2021 big Hollywood production of Mortal Kombat. The casting was on point and Abel Rosario is the best looking on screen Scorpion to date. There were only 3 characters from Mortal Kombat on screen and they carried the weight of the whole franchise in this short. Bravo, instant like and subscribe here. I hope to see more, Raiden and Sub Zero were great but Scorpion stole the show.

Jesus Christ. Normally Bi-Han and Hanzo were on equal ground, but for most of the fight Bi-Han was dominating. I was shocked to see SubZero wrecking Scorpion. Good fight. Raiden always being kept in the dark with his face was a great touch too by the way. No one ever shows this fight, but I would like to see The Great Kung Lao vs Goro. I am wondering if it was a fatality or brutality that caused Lao’s defeat
to be fair though scorpian was holding back due to raidens deal/promise. wasn't until subzero mentioned his son that he started trying and by then he was already in rough shape from the beat down.
Well in the og timeline Bi-han was far superior than Hanzo in mk mythos he has beaten him twice first time when scorpion was human and sub-zero had to kill him because he had no choice and secondly when both of them were in the NetherRealm but in MK1 the one from 1992 the only reason scorpion killed sub zero not because they were competing but instead because they were on the same side even through not for long scorption was plotting to kill Bi-han while Bi-han was plotting to kill Shang Tsung scorpion sneaked on sub zero and killed him by ambushing him when liu kang was defeating shang tsung
@@maxdam4059 I remember in the OG timeline Sub-Zero was dangerous, but wasn’t Scorpion just as dangerous, they knew of each other by reputation even before Quan Chi hired both of them, and Scorpion when it came to fight skills I thought was just as vicious. Sub-Zero(Bi-Han)was more ruthless which I thought gave him an edge, but still, this fight, Scorpion got wrecked and I did not see that coming. Maybe that is why when Bi became Noob, he was a more dangerous specter than Scorpion. He was just better

This was fantastic.
Everything felt like a good throwback to the 90’s cheesiness of mortal kombat that made me fall in love with the franchise.

The scene when scorpion takes sub zero to hell in MK9 is one of the best parts of the mortal kombat story. The dialogue and fight choreography of this film were actually impressive. My favorite part though has to be sub zero using the branch as a handle for his hammer😂. This is really well made and I hope you guys keep going cause i want to see the rest of this story🙌🏼
As fan films go, this was fantastic in comparison. Cheers to the costume designers and CGI Team. Scorpions eyes being blacked out and full of rage was a nice touch. Sub zeros glimmer finish to his face covering was outta sight. The layers to the costumes were surprisingly refreshing, and raiden looked great all the way around. I look forward to more

great cinematography and visual effects, as well as, the storytelling. Only thing i would say is the pacing of the choreography could be quicker to give us more of that intensity that they create in the games. But fantastic work nontheless.
