- Hello everyone! Today I'm sharing with you a Metallic Pearl Pour & Texture piece all in one! I love using this simple pearl pour as a gorgeous background for this texture scales. I hope you enjoy. All recipes are below!

Materials I used in this demonstration:
14"x18" Traditional Gallary Wrapped Level 2 Artist Loft Canvas
Modern Masters: Pearl White
Tri-Art Liquid: Payne's Grey
Amsterdam: Sky Blue Light
Blickrylic White
NEW COLOR PEARL CELL RECIPE:
3 Parts Flood Floetrol - US
2 Parts Behr 7300 Satin Enamel - untinted
1-2 Parts paint of choice (or .5 part fliuid paint)(I used blicrylic white, paynes grey and yellow ochre for the custom base)
1.5 Golden Color Pouring Medium Gloss or GAC 800
Pouring Medium for PUDDLE/POUR OVER/DUTCH POUR paints:
50% Floetrol 50% Golden GAC 800
Puddle & Dutch Pour Paints mixed 1 pt paint to 4-5 pts PM and water to consistency (This is the ratio for highly pigmented paints like Golden, Amsterdam, Pebeo, etc)
No silicone used for cells. It was all the layering of the paints that made those cool effects.

@@PiecesofTaraArtistry I’m going to be attempting gold foil/leaf on a piece of mine. I’ve heard it tarnishes with certain varnish. I’m used to using liquitex varnish. Would you recommend spray varnish for gold leaf embellishments as well? What brand do you like the most? TIA!
@susanbrocksmith4255 I’m sorry to say that I don’t work in gold leaf. Maybe varnish before addling the gold leaf…🤷🏻♀️
