- Green Textured Wall Art with Gold Leaf!! Easy Abstract DIY Home Decor
In this painting I am doing a really fun textured piece of wall art! This is so easy, anyone can do this at home for their own piece of wall art! I used spackle and a texture tool to create a textured design on my canvas, and then use another tool to smooth out one area to make it look a little different. I used sage green for the textured areas and then added some gold leaf down the middle!

Thank you!
Bonsoir,
Formidable bravo.
I could also use this design for a road type painting. Like the modeling paste could be a corn or wheat field.
Yes you could!
Love this design, what would you use to seal it with. Never thought to use a paste like this.
Thank you, I didn't seal it with anything but I assume you could use varnish.
Love this. Is the second color silver o gray?
It is just a lighter shade of the green I was using; I added some white to it.
Did you use acrylics to paint? Is this modelling paste that you used in the start?
Yes I am using acrylic paints and this is spackle.
Do you let your texture dry overnight before painting or paint right away?
I let it dry overnight before painting.
Hello, how long before the spackle hardens? know if you don’t like the shapes you create if you have time to re-read to make new shapes?
It takes hours to harden so you do have time to work with it.
Do you add any pouring medium, like Liquitex, to the spackle?
Nope, just spackle.
Do I let the sparkle dry before painting?
Yes I let it dry before painting it.
What is the colour you are using, have you mixed paint to get that colour.
It was a very light green from Liquitex and then I added a small amount of white.
Did you wait for this to dry before you painted it, or did you paint it while it was still wet?
I waited for it to dry first and then painted it.
Do i have to add anything else in spackle or just that alone??
I do not add anything to it.
@@amandasstudio Love your work it's so satisfying to watch!!
what kind of glue do you use for the gold leaf?
Linked in the video description!
Is there a special adhesive that has to be used with the gold leaf?
This is what I am using, it dries tacky so the leaf sticks to it: amzn.to/45LJ0ng
Do you let the spackle dry before painting?
Yup!
Spackle sometimes cracks after it dries though.
This gold leaf turn black after sometime or it remain the same...do we need to cover this with the glass frame?
Thanks for the answer in advance.😊
Mine has remained the same but you can varnish it to help protect it.
@@amandasstudiothanku😊
What paint is this ? Like it’s really thick so what causes paint to be that thick ?
This is spackle.
How do you avoid cracks
Don't apply it too thick.
Is the paint, acrylic paint?
This is just acrylic paint.
Cómo se llama ese papel de oro, soy de Chile 😊
It is gold leaf: amzn.to/43pIWIk
how to stuck the gold thing there?
Glue!
@@amandasstudio what kind of glue ? Thanks ! i watch all of your videos!
What paste is this
Spackle! I linked it in the video description.
Very pretty
However I found textured art not to be as simple as it looks. Everything has to be just right, spackling, plaster, etc, then possible cracking.. One try was enough for me.
It does take some practice!
