In the comics and the bread sfm he is much more composed then he is in combat. Where the other mercenaries just always on the wavelength of insanity wherever they go.
I think the reason is very simple. TFC Medic was still a combat class with healing as a bonus. TF2 Medic was designed in a way that healing is his sole purpose, with his damage dealing weapons being meant for self defense.
He even had a shotgun and grenades! His clothes also look more combat driven. It was fun seeing someone b-hopping around and you think it was a Scout but it was a Medic just casually shooting people. x'D

And...despite having played that game since roughly ~2000/2001, somehow I just learned he apparently he can also display the status of each team's flags, as TFC did not possess a UI element for the location of the flag, like TF2. His primary grenades were also caltrops, which slowed enemies who came in contact with them. Med had normal grenades. Scout was, in direct opposition to TF2, really good at taking out sentries, also. Literally you just stand at a distance and continuously fire the nailgun, which was 100% accurate. It's one of the aspects I miss about him from TFC. Also conc jumping for either class was super fun, especially double conc jumping.
And to be honest, if TFC Heavy treated TFC Medic just like he did to TF2 Medic, I totally understand why the classic doctor would go as far away as possible. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
One thing I always found funny, is that in TFC and Fortress Forever, the Medic is basically a stronger Scout, because he has the Super Nailgun which shreds sentries, and can utilize bunny hopping and concussion jumping to capture the intelligence. Since Heavy in TFC plays a defense role, it's no wonder Heavy hates Medic, especially one that is incredibly mobile and erratic.
I remember seeing a post that said, "What if TFC Medic is actually the Medic we know?" and while that wouldn't be consistent with the lore, I thought it was interesting. On the other hand, another lovely animation, Misan!! This is GREAT! :D

What most people may not know is the TFC models we see today (the ones used in TFC today for over 20 years, and their depictions in the comics) were not the original TFC models. It's a shame cuz' it would have been really cool if they did an one off comic for the classic Mercs, so we could care more about them. We only got the name of some of them, the fact that they are all sadists/evil and that TFC Heavy hates everyone equally. :P

I really like how you prescribed the TFC medic - a kind and law-abiding citizen. While the TF2 medic is the most ordinary medic from the trailer and the comic. I hope you will make more content with him and just tf2 videos! Love ya :D
Even if TFC Medic is never shown in the official comics, I like to imagine that he was a decent guy, a REAL doctor that was hired by the wrong people and decided to leave. :P

- can wipe out an entire enemy team by spreading deadly plague

there is 2 theories about what happened to tfc medic in the tf2 comics
Theory 1: tfc medic and tf2 medic are the same
which would actually be funny and stuff
+ both have similiar eyebrows and eye color(atleast on the high poly model used on video)
but knowing valve this is probably not true
theory 2: tfc medic became the vet that fixed soldier's hand in the tf2 comics
I hope if Valve ever make the final comic, we finally get to see what happened to TFC Medic and Engineer. : 3:

Honestly I kinda wished the TFC tea, was explored more i think it could've been interesting to see how they were in their prime and compare them to the current mercs
