They took out the with friends part- this means they aren't friends anymore. I knew that they were falling apart. You could tell by the way Tomar interacted with Chris but this confirms it

Cory being excited about calling 911 in a video game is the tism I come to see.
I think the pit is based on “Mel’s hole”, an actual urban legend in which an old man during like the 60’s found a mysterious hole in his backyard and thought it was endless. So to test it’s lenght he tied a sheep to a rope and started sending it in, but at one point the sheep just started to thrash violently and when they pulled it back up it was completely mutilated. But the worst part is that the sheep “gave birth” to some flesh abomination, the scariest part is that it wasn’t even pregnant

I like the idea of using VHS as different mini games. Kinda reminiscent to Anthology horror shows like “Tales from the Crypt,” “Goosebumps” & “Are you afraid of the Dark.”
Stories Untold kind of did something similar but they were mostly text adventure instead. It was pretty good.
The game Lost in Vivo does a similar thing, but instead of mini games, they are each a different spooky scenario with a simple objective. That isn't the main gameplay of Lost in Vivo, as you find the lost tapes as you go along, but the last one labeled HOTEL gave me quite the spook and ended up my favorite. Would highly recommend the game overall!
