Creators note March 2024 : You may know that I shot and edited the Will Raison Fishing videos that were published by V2V Angling Productions but illness (I have a rare form of blood cancer) brought me to a point where a few years ago I could not continue making them. Will, great video thanks for all your videos I’m learning so much, do you ever fish this method with a centre pin and bread punch, I’ve been fishing this way and had some fantastic bags this year, can’t wait for paste to be the bait in summer, cheers

I would have said yes but I know what Will would say and that is when fishing paste on the pole you need that little pot on the top kit to avoid washing off the paste as you ship out. As a rod bends and the top is narrow a cup would hinder the rod. So unless your paste was stiff enough to swing into place I think he’d say it’s not efficient enough. One thing you will pick up from his videos and articles is that he is all about efficiency and making things easier for yourself. Hopefully he will come on here and confirm himself when he has time!
