    If Radagon and the Gloam Eyed Queen had Messmer and the Gloam Eyed Queen is Marika's sister that means Sister on Sister Incest which tracks with George.

    I think the part where Crunchy says that you are fated to become someone else after death makes a ton of sense with St. Trina and Miquella aswell. In the story trailer it says Miquella abandoned even his "fate" which then shows St. Trina. So I think he was destined to become St. Trina but abandoned that fate.

    Ratatoskr, please make a video on this theory: Rennala had a fourth child with Radagon, but it died at birth (which has vast lore implications).
    There is SO MUCH evidence. Evidence includes (I’ll write these points at a surface level as to not write a whole essay) the design of the Abductor Virgins, how Rennala sits in an empty cradle, Rennala makes artificial children for herself before turning them into tombstones as an attack and her Great Rune is called “Rune of the Unborn.” There is way more evidence than this, but I will say: Rennala’s child’s mortality, thematically, does fit in the game as it contrasts Marika’s childrens’ immortality (order vs chaos).
    I don’t want to make the video myself because I have not the skills nor the popularity. 👍

    The intro cinematic, I think, is purely a representation of events, especially as it is presented as a painting. Sure Radahn is "small" when hes getting beaten by Morgott, but the shot of Rykard's head getting eaten by the Serpent on a throne, has to be just symbolism. Unless one wants to suggest that the serpent started off at a regular size and then grew only after devouring Rykard.

    • @c3ramics
      @c3ramics 3 месяца назад +2

      This is it, people have to take into account the artist storytelling and not take it so literal. Making Morgott the same size is to show his power and make it quite clear Radahn will always be small to him. If “big-brothered” him was a painting.

    • @wowitsfrostygames155
      @wowitsfrostygames155 3 месяца назад

      The reason why the snake is small at first is because we know it was slain once in the past, there’s a whole weapon dedicated to killing it.
      The serpent is immortal and is merely born again upon death. Rykard likely fed himself to the newly reincarnated snake deity.

    1. Nepheli uses the storm and some of her dialogue suggests that she sees it as a part of her culture. So even if the storm stuff wasn’t part of Godfrey culture it became so after he had conquered Stormveil.
    2. I do feel like there is one detail we ignore in the elden ring cinematic trailer. The coloration of the uniforms of the soldiers storming the capital is red and dark blue while the coloration of Godrick’s soldier uniforms is red and green.

    • @fastenedcarrot9570

      Another interesting point about the armor set worn by the soldiers in the cinematic trailer is that the coloration isn't the only difference with Godrick soldier armor set. The Lion heraldry on the armor set used in the cinematic trailer is on the left side of the armor back. In case of Godrick soldier armor, it is on the right side of the armor back.

    Sellen and Corhyn are two very important characters in the Lands Between as they both are examples of what happens to those who only have intelligence or only have faith and are unwilling to take the best of both worlds. Sellen with her incredible intelligence turns to stone. Corhyn with his incredible faith goes insane. Neither of them accomplish anything because they reject the other aspect. Corhyn rejects intelligence and Sellen rejects faith. Both is required to function.

    the Gurranq - Malekith paradox in my head can be explained by the time loop within the logic of the theory of relativity.
    the player tarnished interacts with the current Gurranq at present time, whereas Farum Azula is at the end of the time but outside time. meaning the future has already been made in Farum Azula therefore they now both exists simultaneously and when you make that journey after kindling the fire you access time as a place.

    Radahn was at his full size when the Shattering happened. He doesn't look "small" in any of the trailers, that's just a perspective thing that some people get fooled by because there's a lack of reference points.
    So the size of the thrones (which are just projections by the way) is just for aesthetics and/or symbolism. They're not fitted to the size of anyone in particular.

    Elden Ring’s underlying theme is “wtf is going on”. It’s the entire point of this game, and obviously so. At this point I would feel like we lost something if any of these questions were answered. The best part of Elden Ring are these unhinged theories and videos. You’re not supposed to know, and I personally think we never will. You’re the Tarnished and the Tarnished is most certainly not going to be able to find answers to thousands or years of mystery that’s been lost to time.

    I think the spooky void is just more omen magic stuff.
    Morgott is shown to be able to attack you via possession zoom call, and can also create magic barriers like the two fingers, so presumably these omen could, for instance, create the illusion of a patrolling guard while hiding on the bridge.
    Why do that? To hide from omenkillers.
    When you approach, you pass inside the illusion, and see them and the dead guard.

    A thing to add on to the idea that Marika is reaching into an eye, when you get rune items, they resemble, and are largely implied, to be eyes or pulled from eyes. Runes are stored in the eyes, this is something I think we can just agree is fact. So the fact that Marika pulls runes out of it, while it is tempting to believe it's a vagina because of themes of motherhood, it's far more likely it's a snake's eyes, because we know the dlc leans heavily into snake imagery, and the fact that she pulls runes out of it.

    “Gode” in German means like godfather, godparent. Maybe Godefroy is the ancestor that taught godrick the art of grafting. And Fromsoft used the only other grafted boss model in the game to communicate that they have the use of grafting in common.
    I think it means something in the lore and they were stretched on dev resources and bent the lore just a little to make the player able to piece something together.

    @ChiPandaAndKeegan 3 месяца назад +1

    I love Crunchy's video.
    I also agree with Rata that I can side with GEQ being a snake, but the snake being in the new trailer is a stretch.
    I think it's a waste trying to scientifically explain how Marika and Radagon can be one and produce children. They're gods. It's all metaphysical and serves a greater purpose than being explained by earthly logic. Protestants have always believed in a Triad God. Having a Dyad God is not new concept. As the God of the Golden Order, Marika must represent its philosophies. Marika fulfills the Law of Causality. She cannot also fulfill the Law of Regression, therefore Radagon's existence as a person is justified. It is required for them to act together as one Dyad God in order to actualize the philosophies of the Golden Order.

    I am typing this before finishing the video so I apologize if my theory conflicts with information presented later in the video. I have always had this theory since my first playthrough that the Evergaols, through some form of magic, "trap" a moment in time. Hence the spectral hue of the enemies inside of them. Crunchy mentions that Godfrey (golden shade) and Loretta (Caria Manor) have spectral hues as well, and appear to be past versions of their own self, some capturing the past using some form of magic. On the surface this conflicts with a few Evergaol figures, such as Vike, and the snipers in Ordina. However the present may also be a moment in time that can be captured (???). The evergaol trapping Vike is his present sense (hense no spectral hue). And Ordina in real time (not in evergaol) could be an obscured location where time is already captured (the spectral wolves) but the evergaol reverses its logic in this time-obscured town when in the Evergaol, as you see the black knife assassin and snipers. Although the trees remaining spectral in the Ordina Evergaol only muddies those waters. In terms of Godefroy, could that be Godrick but also a past version of himself trapped in time? Hense the exact same character model. Perhaps he used to go by "Godefroy" and after leaving Leyndell he changed his name for his own personal reasons. Another small detail that may support this idea is that Godefroy has double the health. Godrick, in the present, while grafted and big and scary, could be much more weakened compared to when he was in his prime, when he went by Godefroy. My only question is, who and why are all of these figures being trapped in time? \
    I am typing this as I am rushing to work so apologies for any unnoticed spelling errors.

  • @mkv2718

    the whole “Numen are all women and parthenogenesis is just their normal reproductive cycle” video was looney as hell. it just makes zero sense to think that Marika and Radagon’s bonded existence was natural. if it was, and especially if it was natural for Numen, A) it wouldn’t have been a big secret… and I do not mean to us, the players, but to the people of the Lands Between, etc. if that was just the way Numen operated, when Radagon appeared for the first time and Marika was no where to be seen, people of the Lands Between would have instantly just assumed “oh, Marika’s in dude form now.” also, as far as i am aware, while “some west African frogs can spontaneously change sex in a same sex environment” (😉) which brings me to B) frogs DO NOT reproduce asexually, so relating the way Malenia and Miquella (still bugs me the way the latest trailer pronounces his name as rhyming with Dracula…. “McYoula, the Irish terror of the night”🥴, but i digress) to frogs is just weird. also, those two being cursed as a result of the manner in which they came into existence doesn’t exactly scream “this is natural for Numen” in any way shape or form.
    no, where ever Radagon came from, he and Marika’s “bond” seems wholly unnatural. my person head cannon that Radagon is the one who actually existed first, and Marika, with her golden hair and eyes was chosen by the Elden Beast as the form Radagon would use to represent represent The Golden Order as it’s god. there’s more to it, but i’m tired of typing and i’m sure no one is reading this far anyway as people have become adverse to reading anything over 3 sentences long…. but that’s neither here nor there. Again, that’s just head cannon for me anyhoo and i’ve no proof of it, so there’s not much need to elaborate further.

    Horah Lou is a King that Marika made Elden Lord who was remade Godfrey. He used to have Crucible Knights in his army. Crucible magic is associated with red blood life. And Omens are associated with wild growth and the Crucible. This is reinforced by the new cultute were lions and omens are associated with the crucible. Horah Lou's beastial Crucible bloody nature mainfests as a lion. Godfrey gave Marika omen twins.
    I dont think Messmer means the tarnished in his line about being bereft of grace. I think hes talking about Horah Lou. When the new order begins he gains grace by rejecting his previous identity, king of the culture of the lions in the dlc.

    • @Huntanor
      @Huntanor 3 месяца назад

      The betrayal is the killing of Horah Lou' people and sealing them away to reinforce that the Golden Order is eternal. Pure Gold is red gold. Yellow gold is an alloy of silver and gold. Unalloyed gold would be red. Adding Silver to gold removed the red tinited making it the gold of the golden order.

    • @Huntanor
      @Huntanor 3 месяца назад

      I put this here because it matches the death change idea. Horah Lou dies fighting for his people, becomes Godfrey, he gets his grace removed and reverts to Horah Lou. Horah Lou returns with the tarnished when he dies regaining his grace and becomes Godfrey again. Then in desperation to defeat us he kills the Silver and restores the red.

  • @ETBrooD
    @ETBrooD 3 месяца назад +2

    The blue-ish glow of the evergaols must be the literal imprisoning effect of the gaols. It doesn't make the inmates spectral, I think it's a force that literally binds them to the place. That might be why it surrounds their bodies, it's like shackles. It also identifies them as inmates like prisoner clothing.
    I'd guess a side effect is that it also removes the visibility of the stars and even the Erdtree. That implies it's like solitary confinement, which is one of the most inhumane punishments in real life.
    Vyke is probably just an oversight. They simply forgot to add the spectral glow.

    32:43 I don't believe that rune is _actually_ smaller than the others at all, it seems to me like it's just scaled to the same max height as the rest and it contains a longer portion of the stem reaching upwards from the ring, so it got a bit squashed. It doesn't make a lot of sense for the actual ring to be smaller as there are no smaller ring-runes within the compiled Elden Ring, they're all the same size, it simply wouldn't fit anywhere. Meanwhile we can see what is probably a depiction of Miquella's rune in the DLC trailers, which is indeed from the same side as Malenia's but is missing a quarter of the ring, has the as-of-yet missing _lower_ length of the stem, and a small portion of the upper arc of the anchor rune (or the equivalent portion of the lower piece of the twins rings), so it seems highly unlikely to be his.
    That said I just had a thought; iirc, Miq and Mal were born _after_ Radagon left Renala to return to Marika, so if he splintered of this run to gift to Renala then, is it possible that's what somehow resulted in their afflictions? Though that only really makes sense if the runes are in some way bound to the demigods at birth, which I recently argued against elsewhere but perhaps I need to reconsider 🤔
    1:27:08 hmm, i just noticed that bracelet Marika is wearing, has she always been depicted with that? It's definitely interesting that it seems to simultaneously represent a snake-like shape coiling up her wrist from one perspective but also a stack of golden rings from another....

    Heres one thing that no one seems to mention that much, which has gotten me thinking, or at least considering some of these duplicates around the Lands between.
    We have a whole quest line, based around milicent where she explicity states that she is trying to get back to Malenia, so that she can have her will back.
    "There is something I must return to Malenia.
    The will that was once her own.
    The dignity,
    the sense of self,
    that allowed her to resist the call of the scarlet rot.
    The pride she abandoned,
    to meet Radahn's measure"
    The pride she abandoned to meet Radahn.
    Being the daughter of Marika, I belive that the other members of the family had the power to split them selves down into different components of their personalities. Well at least those with Markia as the mother. Perhaps its a Numen power....who knows.
    Where ths comes around, is that I think Marika is the gloam eyed queen, weho once gold was born, split her self in to several personalites to enable her power through out the lands between.
    Im still working on it at the moment....but I do think that the Millicent quest line isnt spoken about enough.

    I was recently playing Dark Souls 1 and I also was watching The Princess Bride and came to a realization that there’s something special about smaller fantasy stories with simple plots. Dark Souls was famous because the lore was uncover-able through item descriptions however that just isn’t the case for Elden ring. Dark souls felt complete and the opened ended questions were about the endings of the game.
    Elden Ring is a mess when it comes to lore. It constantly contradicts each other, and the lore is so disconnected that it’s nonsensical. There’s very little it actually wants to stick to and it makes its timeline malleable enough that most of these channels are just speculating because the game doesn’t want to stick to something definitive. Theres several outer gods, ages, and magic systems that don’t have any explanations they’re just there and the game continually adds them into the lore without adding them to the story.
    Dark Souls had several stories to tell and used lore to explain them. Elden ring has an abundance of lore with only a few stories being connected to each lore. You can tell that Elden Ring created lore for the purpose of the game mechanics above the story it wants to tell.

    Here's something kinda odd, Godricks great rune, taking a close look at it, doesn't it kinda look like 4 runes but three are broken, looking at the other runes they each have 1 complete circle and a line, didn't Vyke have 2 great runes? So what about this, Godrick has 4 separate runes, no idea on why or how three of them are not complete circles, maybe Godrick found a way to shape his, couldn't tell you, but anyways, two from Vyke after he was captured, one from Godefroy (IF he had one, after this video, I have my suspicions), after he was captured and Godricks rune, makes 4 runes, Godrick most likely didn't want to ruin his rune and did experiments with the other three, could be why there broken, but that's just a weird theory that just popped in my head

      What ever did happen to Vykes great runes after he was captured, more like what 2 runes did he have, each Great rune seems to be special in some way, and the owners seem to "become" one with the rune, or gain an aspect of that rune that becomes them I guess, like Malenia's great rune but what if she had Radahns great rune and/or the other way around imagine Radahn, having Malenia's great rune making him (I don't know exactly what Malenia's Great rune does for her exactly) heal on hit or something lol

    Im gonna call a spade and you not gonna get me to say that the naked king is wearing clothes. Every single example can be explained with one reason : Gameplay. There is a lot of gameplay in elden ring that doesnt make sense lorewise, and is not consistent or immersive or logical. Its there for gameplay reasons, arbitrary invincibility field for characters, evergaols for you to have some fights or re-fights. Oh you liked fighting Godrick? Here fight him some more. Segregation of gameplay and story, there is no meaning to be found there, its there because devs think its good use of their assets and a good way to fill up their open world game. If it was not an open world game, then godefroy wouldnt exist. And if DS3 was an open world game like ER, youd have pontiff sooleywahn or something in the evergaol.
    why do characters like Mohg, Guranq and Margrit stay as encounters even if theyre dead? Because devs dont want to take away content from players and items that the bosses drop. That supersedes the lore or immersion for them. The game is full of gamey elements that are only there to serve gameplay, like 99% of treasure chests.
    Its a waste of time to try to understand lore reason behind it, because there is none, whatever your theory or headcanon may be its not something miyazaki clearly cares or thought about.
    Its not interpretable because these things are not meant to be interpretable.
    I will go even further. The reason Miquella's needle exists as an item for player to reverse frenzy flame is only to have a way to not be locked out of other endings, it actually doesnt make much sense, and that is why there is 0 reactivity from any character about such use or you having reversed it, that's why Melina doesnt come back. It doesnt actually make much sense for you to go off with Ranni while having frenzy flame that somehow is being successfully held back by a mere needle.

    TheCenteredTarnished explains the identity thing very well.
    He basically says that the entire game is Marika's identity.
    If you think all of the characters as a piece of her that splintered off, it actually makes sense.

    Removing the rune of death caused everyone to split from their shadow self which caused the identity confusion in the game.
    Specifically, Marika split from the gloam eyed queen aspect of herself so that she could create a deathless perfect world.
    Miquella's goal is to bring about the eclipse in order to reconnect Marika to her shadow and restore death amd balance to the world.

    I think it's all commentary about video game players having multiple identities. The one that is abandoned and the one they adopt within a game.
