The eight bodies remind me of a secret area you can get to by putting out the green fire then sleeping (sleeping bag) in the broken house with the bloody pentagram in it. A black shadow on the ground will eat you and take you there if it spawn and can pathfind to you. Also given it a legit close and not a crash it is possible the game saved something in your data file without giving say an achievement for it to make it noticeable. Why I am suggesting exploring the area I noted.
That.. Is the first time I ever heard of such a thing. Woudk you if possible provide info? I'd hate for it to stumble and discover this would be the only ever semblance of this information anywhere.

Its likely the combo of factors. For starters the dev probably made it really hard to datamine the game. Making it hard to crack the EXE i assume. Second. It probably HAS been datamined to the bone already, but since the community is heavily adverse to datamining. Anyone who does probably doesn't want to share what they find due to backlash. Giving no reason to share what they find. Or to even datamine at all.

Combine that with the dev adding their own layers of obfuscation, and bam. There’s actually been many datamining attempts before, but a lot of them end in failure - the only ones I remember actually resulting in something being the location of the Glowing Pink Argemia, and the codes to the Tutorial Door and Bunker Door.
i have to wonder if the static sky + 8 floating bodies is a prototype of some kind for whatever the new 8 candle shrines uniformly placed 650 units away from 0:0 are (im assuming lighting all 8 doesnt do anything because i tried and didnt observe anything occuring)
might also be related but the alt code for a dollar sign is 3 6 on the numpad, could be something worth investigating if certain button combos do things

I tried lighting them but nothing happened, maybe if you light all the candles, clip into construct and do the event something new will happen?
Just clipped into construct, and did the eight figures and afterword lit all the candles and nothing happened unfortunately. Maybe vice versa does something
Not a mod! You can, through finding a very special signal, get a Not-Gravity-Gun™, and if you microwave it, it gets temporarily upgraded to a combination of the Physgun/Overcharged Gravity Gun, which is what you see here!
