  • New episode with stand-up comedian & podcaster, ‪@BryanCallenComedy‬! Turns out Bryan’s podcast was the first podcast my dad did when he went viral back in 2017. So this kind of felt like a conversation between old friends. We discussed his comedy career, social justice warriors, life as a parent, politics, Bryan’s upcoming special and more. Enjoy!
Bryan Callen is an actor, comedian, and podcaster. He is best known for his recurring role as “Coach Mellor” on ABC’s Schooled and The Goldbergs and as one of the original cast members of MadTV. Callen has also appeared in TV and films including Kingdom, Hangover 1 & 2, Ride Along, Sex and the City, Old School, Entourage, Californication, and many more.

I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed this interview with Bryan. I couldn’t be happier for his success. When he was just beginning his journey in 1990 as an actor in New York and I was starting a new chapter in my life after a successful career in television, at 50, as the lead in a Restoration farce about Catherine The Great and her lover, Grigory Orlov, young Bryan was my costar.
Fast forward to 2020 and my husband and I were on a Sail Across The Sun Train music cruise where my son was performing (lead singer/ songwriter of Tonic, Emerson Hart) with EzraRayHart (Ezra Ray Hart - a band that features Mark McGrath of Sugar Ray, Kevin Griffin of Better Than Ezra, and Emerson Hart of Tonic). Bryan was opening for Comedian George Lopez. Our paths never crossed during that cruise, but I knew he had found his sweet spot. Life is good! Sandra Hart

I am so privileged that I got to meet your Dad in Boston and I had NO idea what an absolute sweetheart he is in person. I’m so glad I had that time with him and looking forward to next time.
I second meeting someone at church. I did, and he was so nice I invited him to be my travel buddy and see your Dad with me. We had an amazing time together and an amazing time seeing your Dad and have plans to get together again soon. What is to be will be but… I like him. (I don’t think he knows it yet).
I can’t wait for Peterson Academy and will be signing up as soon as I can.
My heart goes out to your family in the loss of your grandmother. I feel like this is so hard on your Dad but that he’s compartmentalized his grief so he can cope and complete his South American tour before dealing with the grief.
I loved you all before I heard your Mum and Dad speak and your brother play and sing. But now that I’ve met you all I love you so much more dearly.
