I ordered just the scrappy kit of cotton fabrics, and my idea is to use Porcelain as the background in the star blocks. I found six yards of one of the prints that has a white background from the line on the internet, and I want to use it instead of the wool applique blocks. (Totally stealing this idea from "Oh Say Can You Sew Too.")
@ It wouldn’t matter I’d still want to do this. I actually saw a flannel quilt at a quilt show in Jacksonville Florida in October. Fail in love with it, and want to make one.

I just came to this. Am I understanding that this quilt is all wool?
no it is not all wool. Just the appliqué pieces that are put on cotton squares
