@Tomanistanumerouno I know the transfer is ok, but not worth blu-ray. I forgot zimmer did the score for broken arrow, I always liked the mid 90's action movie sound tracks.

My favourite line in the film is..Damien and Ralph sleep butt to face, butt to face, butt to face. HAHAHA. Has anyone told you that you look alot like Tad Hilgenbrink? I watched Hills Run Red a few back and he's in it and you to look alike.

I agree, it's definitely an addiction! Out of nowhere, I decided to drive to a local Fred Meyer store last night at 9:30pm because I just had to see what they had in their movie section. (ended up taking home six titles. Awesome.) But yeah, Letters from Iwo Jima is excellent. You get to see the Japanese perspective, and it's always nice in a war film to get something different from the usual American "G.I. Joe" stuff.
@Heavymetalrille I really don't like any new horror films, I do love the old classics. And I already own all of those. I sleep all day, so that's kinda vampire-ish. I guess the horror films I really enjoy are films like 8MM, have you seen that? I know its not a true horror film, but that stuff really happens and it inspires true fear in me.

You should have bought the BluRay of Iwo Jima ;) In my oppinion its one of the best war movies ever made. Simply because the movie doesn't have those stereotypes. The Americans and Japanese are simply fighting against each other and nobody wants to be there, not that typical hereos(Americans) and bad guys(Japanese). And Ken Watanabe (Last Samurai,Inception) plays a main role.
John, you should have got the Full Metal Jacket Deluxe Edition blu ray. The version you got had a terrible transfer. The deluxe edition has a remastered transfer and you can find it for about $10. Great update John, your the best.

Did you ever notice the plot hole where the bad guys kick in Prestons front door ( his actual house) and then at the end of the movie the family goes home and its like they didn't notice the door was gone haha.
