The Mustang Sally hit is my favorite scene in the entire series... Old man Baccala getting one last thrill before he dies- "Heyyy ya fuckin' greaseball ya?", lighting up the cigarette afterwards... Hardcore scene, it's SO good. My favorite.

I always found this scene kind of disturbing. Brian looked like a ok guy, maybe gray area dabbling with the mafia, but he was a regular guy in the end and he gets a golf club over the head for just being at the right place at the wrong time.
He did survive but probably has some level of damage. We see him guarding Vito at the mall when Vito surprised Tony.

It was revenge for the too many onions, and a lot of other things. And there was nothing that we could do about it. The hot dog vendor was a made man and Sally wasn't. And we had to sit still and take it. It was among the gloried crew. It was real grease ball stuff.

Got the box set for Xmas, just gone, started watching it again, just watched the Mustang Sally episode. As a mobster TV series, it's without peer, just brilliant, better the second time around, you identify the plot threads as they develop.

First time i watched this as a kid it messed me up. 😂 Couldn't stop thinking about getting caught in a totally random situation like that, where someone asked for your help and someone else attacked you for it.
